I’m a CAD Technician and IT liaison at an architectural firm. We’re doing work all across the nation.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wallace Engineering?

Wallace Engineering is doing a lot of consulting work on our projects to provide structural engineering drawings and analysis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We interact with Wallace Engineering and provide to them a basic design of a building. They do the structure and its analysis to see what needs to be done to accomplish our goals as far as aesthetics and integrity of the structure.

Wallace Engineering commission soil reports to find out what the bearing load capacities are in the area. After that, the team designs footings and structure to build what we want in that area.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with about half a dozen people from Wallace Engineering, but our main point of contact is Matt (Principal). 

How did you come to work with Wallace Engineering?

I don’t know how the initial relationship began, but we’ve had a long-term relationship with Wallace Engineering.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our company started working with Wallace Engineering before I was hired seven years ago. I know there have been projects that their team has completed within the last six months, and there are probably many ongoing projects. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There has never been a mistake from Wallace Engineering or our company. We’ve always been able to get the ideas conveyed accurately. Every interaction I’ve had with Wallace Engineering has been good and professional. 

How did Wallace Engineering perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through email. Wallace Engineering has handled problems that have cropped up in an exemplary manner. They’ve found things in the field that have required adjustments, and Wallace Engineering has been able to take care of them. I’ve never had a problem with communication between our teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Wallace Engineering’s knowledge and response have been impressive. I get quick responses upon an issue. They always meet deadlines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Wallace Engineering could improve on. They’ve done a great job. Wallace Engineering finds solutions to all challenges that we present to them.

Any advice for potential customers?

If people are looking for structural services, I recommend Wallace Engineering. They can count on them to get the work done correctly and on time.
