What specific goals or objectives did you hire Vordentech to accomplish?

• Automation of the ingestion of Excel and CSV files and their subsequent upload into a client’s database in Snowflake. The system leverages S3, DynamoDB, and Lambda.
• Building the "Snowflake Customer Scaffold" API: this API facilitates the rapid deployment of infrastructure in Snowflake through a simple call to an endpoint, including the creation of users, passwords, roles, permissions, warehouses, and databases. Services: API Gateway, Lambda, SecretsManager.
• File Import Generation Service: this service ensures accurate column schemas and data types after reading a specified number of rows from a file in S3. Services: API Gateway, Lambda, Pandas.
• SFTP Lambda + FIGS: this integration between both systems eliminates any human intervention regarding the reading of files in S3, obtaining a schema for a file, creating configuration files in DynamoDB, and the subsequent upload of the file into Snowflake.

I provide a general guidance through a statement of work and Vordentech does all the work associated with the task. The scope of work ranges from the initial development all the way to deployment and monitoring of the services.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have been able to enable our nontechnical users to be self service on a variety of workflows that used to require developer time. I talk to Vordetech almost every day with a status report of progress on everything we are working on and we align on moving forward. Every project we have started with them has been released into production in the time we expected. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Project management and collaboration is very clear. What I like is that the developer who does the work is responsible for the project timeline so there is no overhead or additional costs of communication and money for project managers. Everything we have done with them has finished on time, even very difficult tasks. They are extremely available to connect on any questions or feedback in Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have been extremely impressed with the speed of development. I have been very impressed with our developer's ability to take on very complex tasks and have a great architectural and naming approach. We have many staffing vendors we work with and the quality of output from Vordentech is unquestionably the best for me.

Vordentech has helped us develop data pipelines to clean, aggregate, and ehance our data to elimate silos and generate greater insights. They have also helped with predictive analytics model creation and deployment.

The deliverables have been automated data pipelines, predictive scores, and Snowflake databases.

Aggregating and enhance large data sets (>300 million rows).

All deliverables were deliverd on time. The Vordentech team was very communicative as well as proactive.

Their expertise in their field is fantastic, but their proactive approach sets them apart. When they did not have an active request from us, they were looking for ways to improve our existing workflows and brought those ideas to me.

Honestly, no. They are incredible and plan to keep them as a long-term partner!
