We run a milk products transport business based in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Our refrigerated fleet moves daily shipments of dairy and milk-product loads for brands like Amul, Dinshaw's, and Vachan across the Bhilai, Raipur, Bilaspur, and Nagpur corridor. Cold-chain integrity and on-time delivery are the core of what we do.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project covered:

• Discovery sessions where the Vollume team sat with our dispatch supervisor and two senior drivers to understand our routes, our existing SOPs, and the gaps that lead to product spoilage.
• A 30-minute custom course built around cold-chain handling for dairy loads, FSSAI hygiene norms, and on-route temperature checks.
• The course was delivered in Hindi audio with English text on screen, so our drivers and loaders could actually follow it on their phones.
• A separate 15-minute onboarding micro-module for new drivers covering route protocols, paperwork, and reporting at delivery points.
• Knowledge checks at the end of each module with a passing score we could track.
• A SCORM package for our training portal, plus a WhatsApp-shareable mobile link for drivers in the field who do not log in to a portal.
• Scripts, voiceover, AI-avatar presenter, on-screen graphics, and quiz design were all handled end-to-end by Vollume. We only had to share our SOPs and review drafts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• 38 of our 42 drivers and loaders completed the course within the first three weeks of rollout, a 90% completion rate. Our previous classroom sessions never came close to that.
• Quiz pass rate on first attempt was 84%, with most repeat attempts coming from drivers who needed the Hindi audio reinforcement.
• Onboarding time for new drivers dropped from roughly four weeks of shadowing to about two weeks, because the micro-module covered the basics before they got into a truck.
• Recorded temperature-deviation incidents on the Bhilai to Nagpur corridor fell by around 35% in the two months after rollout, based on our route logs.
• Vollume delivered all milestones on time and stayed inside the budget we had agreed on, with no scope-creep invoices.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

• Communication was handled mostly over WhatsApp and weekly Google Meet check-ins, which suited our team since our dispatch supervisor is more comfortable on the phone than on email.
• They shared draft scripts, voiceover samples, and rough cuts at each milestone so we could review on our schedule, not theirs. Edits we asked for came back within two or three working days.
• When our senior driver got pulled into a long-haul run during the discovery phase, the Vollume team rescheduled the session without complaint and worked around our route calendar.
• All four milestones were hit on or before the agreed dates. The final SCORM package and mobile link were delivered the same week we asked for them.
• Replies usually came back the same working day, even on Sundays during the launch week. Felt like working with a partner, not a typical vendor.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

• The biggest thing was that they thought about our drivers, not just our company. The course was built for a 5-inch phone screen and a driver who has 20 minutes between two loading bays, not a learner sitting at a desktop.
• They started with a free 30-minute audit of one of our existing PowerPoint training decks and showed us specifically what was failing before they ever asked for money. That built trust right away.
• The pilot was offered at a price that was fully refundable if we did not see a fit. Very few vendors will put that in writing.
• Hindi-first thinking. They did not bolt Hindi on at the end. The script was written for our context first, then English text was added on screen for our supervisors.
• End-to-end production under one roof. We did not have to coordinate between a script writer, a designer, a video shop, and an LMS person. One team, one point of contact.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Vollume could have done differently?

• We use Marathi-speaking drivers on the Nagpur leg, and the course was only in Hindi and English. Vollume offered to add Marathi as a follow-on package, but it would have been smoother to plan all three languages from the start of the build.
• The discovery phase took a little longer than we expected because we kept needing to chase our own dispatch supervisor for time. Not Vollume's fault, but a sharper upfront briefing template with what they need from us by when would have helped us move faster on our side.
• We chose the AI-avatar track to stay inside budget, and it works well, but our older drivers reacted slightly better to a short real-video clip we shot on a phone ourselves. A small hybrid option, mostly AI-avatar with one or two real human inserts, might be worth offering as a middle tier.
