BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We're a women’s only fitness studio based in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and I started this company eight years ago. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Viti Brokerage?

I hired Viti Brokerage to handle the insurances for my business. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Viti handles my liability and business insurance services. They're also working on my Medicare Part B health insurance. Basically, all my insurance needs go through them. 

For example, the team already provided umbrella policy services. It was on a Sunday and I had an issue with water coming out of the drains — it was terrible. I panicked and I didn’t know what to do. I called Anna (President) and she helped me call the insurance company. 

What is the team composition?

I used to work with Anna, but as time went by, she assigned a business manager.

How did you come to work with Viti Brokerage?

Anna came into a networking group that I had. We met outside the group and I really liked her. I had her check my policies immediately and she was able to save me money. Then, we became extremely good friends. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $1,000 per year. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in August 2014.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Viti’s president has handled everything for me, and it’s been wonderful because it’s rare to be connected with a company’s president. A lot of my fitness friends that own studios can’t reach out and find out what to do with their insurance matters. However, since we have Viti Brokerage, they reach out to the insurance companies for us and get the ball rolling — that’s what makes them unique. 

How did Viti Brokerage perform from a project management standpoint?

Anna has great project management skills. If I have a problem with a new person coming in and taking my folder or file and they don’t follow up, all I do is send an email to her.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Viti is a big company, but they’re a family company. Moreover, they’re located in Highwood, Illinois, and everybody knows them. Additionally, they also have a great reputation.

Anna is excellent at networking and making connections with people. The other day, I received an email from her introducing me to somebody in my area whom I've already met.  She didn’t know that, but she’s always trying to make matches for me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’d be nice if every year they will do a QC. They do send an email asking if things are still the same, but it’d be awesome to have them come out and take a look at them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You’re going to work with a company where you have the opportunity to collaborate closely with their president. Above all, you know that when you’re having an issue and if you aren’t getting satisfaction from people assigned to help you, you can always go up to the chain of command.
