VRM was established in 1992 as a soft- and hardware integrator and, in 1995, adopted a proactive business strategy focused on R&D, production, and sales of simulation technology. These efforts resulted in the first contract being awarded in 1995 to VRM by the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic for the delivery of a MiG-29 aircraft Full Mission Simulator.
