BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Operations Manager of Kash Beauty, an award-winning cosmetics brand founded by leading Makeup Artist turned beauty influencer, Keilidh Cashell.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Viral Media Agency, and what were your goals?

When we were launching our brand, we needed an expert team to develop the majority of our digital content. From videos and graphics to our website, we needed to outsource this workload to a leading agent. Our goal from the get-go was to launch with a strong online presence with a high-quality website and content.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We shortlisted several agencies and upon interviewing, Viral Media was the clear leader in their industry. There were several factors on which Viral Media could out-perform their competitors like the time the project would take with competing pricing and the level of expertise. Most notably, however, was the level of care they showed at the beginning right into the present day. This is a key reason why we would never consider losing them as a partner.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

To begin, our two teams met for a brainstorming meeting where we clearly outlined our ideas and what our vision was. Viral Media came back with a mood board and wireframe of how this would look, operate and feel for the customer. They then developed even more ideas which they thought would complement our ideas and the overall feel of the website, ideas which were leading in the industry at the time using new technologies that were only fresh on the market.

From here, Viral developed our website on every page with a weekly chat up to show progress and ensure our feedback was consistently heard. The website was the longest project, with video content and graphics adding to the project towards the end.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were blessed to have a fantastic project manager, Aoife, who was our main point of contact for the website project. Aoife was excellent at explaining technical information from the developer to our team and liaising with the developing team so that our vision was brought to life. We also worked with Tom who managed all other projects like video editing and graphics.

Tom had a team of experts of graphic designers, video editors, copyrighters and content creators. Tom managed these projects to ensure all of the content was on brand yet leading in each discipline.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was developed beyond our expectations and on time. We are thrilled with the initial launch and continue to work with Viral Media on every project since then.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We conducted weekly catch-ups with our project manager and a separate bi-weekly meeting with the two teams to ensure our vision is met. We also had constant updates through the project managing platform asana and through group chats. Our feedback was listened to and responded to straight away.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level of communication from Viral Media meant that we understood every element of the project. Their attention to detail on all projects has been superb.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were minor bugs that were flagged through testing that were resolved prior to launch.
