Gene and Alice Rainone, after spending 15 years in Ecuador, returned to the United States with an in-depth understanding of Latin America and the Spanish language. Since then, they have not only become instructors of Spanish at Community Colleges in Western North Carolina, but have authored nine text books used in the classroom.
In 2004, they formed Verbatim Language Services, Inc. to expand the services offered to interpretation in business and medical settings as well as translation of documents, etc.. By networking with other interpreters and translators around the US as well as around the world, the company has flourished and offers on-site interpretation in more than 30 languages as well as telephonic interpreting in more than 210 languages, with more languages being added as qualified interpreters and translators are found and trained.
