BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of UXpro, a Belgian UX agency that helps customers improve the user experience of their products including websites, mobile apps, and desktop software.

We also create wireframes, provide research, and conduct testing among other services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with UX Coach?

We needed help with the UX for an e-health project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

A senior UX researcher works closely with us to handle our project that involves testing, research, conceptualization, prototyping, and general customer support.

The technologies we use for the design aspect are Axure RP, Figma, and Adobe XD, and we utilize LoopBack for the testing portion.

UX Coach is currently helping us with our research by talking to nurses and doctors to identify problems we can try to resolve.

The startup company we’re also working with would then provide us with testing and prototyping, creating digital screens in cardboard boxes just so we can get the complete feel of the product. 

What is the team composition?

We’re mainly in contact with Marjan (Founder).

How did you come to work with UX Coach?

Marjan was a colleague of mine from a previous company, as we had both worked in the e-health domain.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent somewhere between $10,000–$50,000 across multiple projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in September 2019. We have a project that’s currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we’re looking to kickstart the work once things clear up.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

UX Coach generally gets positive feedback as people are very happy with the work that they do.

How did UX Coach perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve been working remotely since the COVID-19 pandemic started, using Teams and Google Meet. We also meet in person whenever necessary, since our offices are quite close to each other.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the quality of their work, as well as their ability to deliver exactly what we ask for.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are always aspects of the project that needs to be improved, but Marjan does a great job of keeping herself updated. She’s also very open and customers like talking to her.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

There needs to be a clear briefing for any project, so I would advise you to highlight the direction you want to take.
