Tunga is a talent partner for companies that need digital professionals without taking on everything it takes to have them. Since 2015 we have placed professionals from across Africa in client teams: software engineers, AI operators, product managers, designers, data specialists and a widening range of digital roles.
We take care of having the people: finding and vetting them, contracts, payments and compliance, onboarding, ongoing support, and replacing someone when they leave or the fit isn't right. What they build, how they work, who does what and whether it is good enough stays with the client. Tunga does not run projects or manage the work. Technical leadership is a role clients can also fill through us, reporting to them.
Engagements are full-time, part-time or project-based, and people can be operational within a week when the client can move fast. Most of our clients are growing tech-driven companies in Europe and North America, where the decision sits with the CEO, CTO or business-unit lead.
As of September 2026: 3,500 vetted professionals from 38 African countries and 300+ client companies served. Teams in Rotterdam (HQ), Lagos, Kampala and Nairobi, home of the Tunga Academy.

Our Story
Tunga started in 2015 from the conviction that economic opportunity should flow to talent, wherever it exists. Our founder came out of fair trade and saw the potential of 21st-century jobs for young Africans. Today we have a pool of 3,500 vetted professionals from 38 African countries, and clients in 12 countries across Europe and North America. We take having the people off our clients' plate, so the work itself stays with them.

We stay after the placement
A fixed contact person keeps in monthly touch with you and the professional, and arranges a replacement when you say it isn't working. About 1 in 40 placements ends on a poor match with no replacement wanted; excluding client-side budget cuts or restructures, 1 in 200.We adapt to your situation
Many team members, including leadership, come from the hospitality industry and service is how we were trained. We start from your situation, adapt our contract to it, and arrange whatever it takes, down to hardware or office space.Professionals who want to work with us
People stay when they want to stay. Our professionals get interesting work, good fees always paid on time, a personal point of contact and a largely in-person onboarding.
