We reviewed 33 candidates, interviewed 21 of them, and made two hires.

How did Treeline Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They met deadlines and stayed on budget. We communicated via phone calls, Zoom, emails, and their portal. The team had their own recruiting board, where we could see when the candidate was submitted, the steps in the process, and the back-and-forth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed by their prompt communication, calls, and text messages to ensure candidates were moving through the process. 

They constantly communicated about where candidates were and how things were going on their side. Even when teammates took time off, someone reached out to me to ensure the process was going smoothly. It was a very good experience. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did a solid job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be specific about what you like and don’t like about candidates early in the process so they can fine-tune the candidates they send to you. 

So early on, as with any engagement, candidates will be sent to you with their thoughts. 

It was good to exchange ideas about what we liked and didn't like about certain candidates so that they could refine the candidates they were reaching out to.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the engagement by completing the paperwork to formalize the relationship. Then, we had an initial call with Treeline Inc. and a kickoff call with the team of recruiters who would find candidates for us. I completed a form describing my requirements and setting the basic priorities of the engagement.

After that, the candidates began coming in. Treeline Inc. has a website sending me alerts when a candidate comes in. I see the appropriate information about them and rank them. We can also go back and forth with comments and everything. It’s a modern system that allows for a lot of asynchronous back and forth.

The candidates are generally well-qualified and screened. The profile of the person we’re looking for has some nuances, so it’s not a simple screening process. We require the basic skills of inside sales.

We work with Rachel and about 7–8 individual recruiters. Around 2–3 of them have risen to the top quickly.

I was aware of Treeline Inc. because they had placed me in a position 2–4 jobs ago. I had a soft spot in my heart for people who found me because that meant they were great at finding good people. They reached out to me through email marketing.

Treeline Inc. has provided us with 33 candidates who've been hired and are ramping up successfully. We have one finalist with a final interview next week and four strong candidates we would've hired, but they accepted another position before we could confirm them.

We needed sourcing support for the sales development representative role we were working on. Our goal was to source a minimum of 10 local sales development candidates over the course of 30 days.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I initially had an introductory meeting with Treeline Inc.'s team to set the job position's parameters. The team set me up a profile in their internal tracking system so I could access the submitted candidates' information. Treeline Inc. did this in one day and started working on our project within 48 hours of that initial conversation.

Treeline Inc. committed to sourcing 10 candidates for me and delivered 15 candidates. We ended up hiring three of the presented candidates.

How did Treeline Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Treeline Inc. was quick to respond throughout the entire month. We communicated mainly by phone calls and emails, and the team had their own tracking system that we used to write notes back and forth.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to highlight Jezel (Account Manager), who was my main point of contact. After our engagement, she followed up with me a couple of times while we were still interviewing. She went above and beyond and was quick to respond to me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Treeline Inc. delivered beyond what they had initially promised and did a good job sourcing candidates. The team was great at staying in close communication with me throughout the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

A few candidates were unresponsive. Although this wasn't Treeline Inc.'s fault, the team could improve by communicating closely with the candidates throughout the process.

If you don't like the candidates presented by Treeline Inc., be transparent and specific with your feedback. The team can adjust their search and take feedback very well.

Treeline Inc.’s team delivers on time, stays on budget, is good at communication, and has a portal where we can log in and manage all of the candidates, making the process very quick.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Treeline Inc.’s user portal is one of the things I enjoy the most about working with them. I can manage multiple candidates across multiple regions without having to go back to different emails or phone calls.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on. They’ve done a great job, and compared to other recruiters we’ve worked with in the past, Treeline Inc. gets the job done faster and provides higher-quality candidates.

We provided Treeline Inc. with a description of the positions we were looking for and met with their recruiters to discuss them. After that, we started meeting with candidates; Treeline Inc. provided an intuitive and easy-to-use portal to see all the different roles we posted and the applicants for each. The portal also listed comments from the recruiters and the applicant's resume. 

We reviewed the applications every night and provided feedback to Treeline Inc.; they helped set up interviews based on our availability. They also went through the process of negotiating offers and getting people on board. Treeline Inc. used LinkedIn and a few other avenues to find people that matched what we were looking for.

We were working with other recruiting agencies, but Treeline Inc. provided us with the most candidates that aligned with our needs and were of the highest quality. The candidates they provided were some of the quickest candidates we’ve ever had to onboard, get started, and pitch and sell for us. We’ve seen good production from all of their candidates, and they fit into our company very well. 

Treeline Inc. did a great job of screening the candidates to ensure that the individuals would be good team members. If we have more positions open, we will return to them.

The team did a great job of communicating, and they were incredibly responsive. Their project management separated them from other agencies because they were so easy to work with. We used their portal to communicate and keep up with candidates. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did a great job of discovery to make sure that what they were looking for aligned with what we needed. They continued to refine their process for narrowing down candidates based on our feedback.

The only thing we can come up with is that we wish there was a longer replacement guarantee.

Commit to being very responsive for them; they will be as responsive as you are, so if you work with them, commit to the process.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, I ended up getting around 20-25 resumes from Treeline Inc.. From there, the candidates go through a phone screen, a preference assessment, a behavioral assessment, and then another call after that. Over the course of our engagement with Treeline Inc., they did a really good job of providing a steady stream of candidates to feed that pipeline and finding a candidate that suited our needs based on my description and our refinements along the way.

How did Treeline Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Treeline Inc. performed well in terms of project management. They were very communicative — we had regular check-ins along the way to keep refining down and helping them hone in on the right candidate for us.

We typically communicated through email and video conferences through Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with Treeline Inc.’s effective communication and application of the data points and the prerequisites that we had. I was also impressed with the initial phone call that we had. They had their whole team on a Zoom call, and they narrowed down what we were looking for right out of the chute. I didn't have to do a whole lot of tweaking from there - they came close to the mark a few times until we eventually made a hire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no complaints. I’ve only worked with a handful of other recruiters in the past, and this was the best experience I’ve had.

Make sure to be very clear about what you're looking for. That can include any kind of certifications that you require as well as the type of background you’re looking for in a candidate.

We were actively recruiting for sales positions, but we didn’t have much luck on our own. We did not have the resources to do a lot of strong external sourcing and recruiting of candidates and we were looking for some outside help to fill the open positions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Treeline’s recruiters actively went out and found people that were interested and available for our position. They vetted applicants and passed them on to us. From there, we evaluated resumes and the information provided. If we liked a candidate, we gave Treeline a thumbs up and managed the recruitment process moving forward.

In a month, Treeline pushed 55 interested and active candidates to us. From those, we interviewed 20 applicants, while three candidates made it to the final interview. We ended up hiring two talents. 

How did Treeline Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Treeline managed the project well. We had two people dedicated to our account, and they were always responsive and helpful. If I had any concerns or issues, they would get back to me within the same day. We communicated through email and Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Treeline's SaaS based recruitment model was unique. Other firms would offer a full, end-to-end recruiting service on a percentage fee basis that was usually high. Meanwhile, Treeline’s model was unique as they had an online platform and would only do the frontend work of sourcing candidates. It was much less expensive because we would be paying a flat fee instead of a percentage of the candidate’s salary. 

It was an excellent service since we had limited internal resources to do active recruiting but weren’t interested in spending high percentage rates. Treeline gave us a cost-effective way to recruit. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn't a lot to add here.  They did a really good job.  If anything, I'd suggest maybe honing in a bit more on the desired skills, but when asked to focus more on this, they responded and delivered as asked.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with your requirements in your job description. In addition, stay on top of Treeline’s platform — whenever you get new candidates, you need to be available every day to give applicants a thumbs up or down. Treeline will be pushing a large volume of candidates, and you need to be there communicating on whether you want to push through a candidate. The more responsive you are and the more comments you leave, the better the recruiters will do in getting you the right candidates.

Additionally, Treeline Inc. asked us specific questions to help them pinpoint our ideal candidate. Through this intake interview, they started to understand the type of person who would succeed in the role. The team then crafted a thorough list of requirements and sent it to us. 

Eventually, they started to present potential candidates. We then selected the best prospect while the team handled the negotiation process.
