Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of brand development at Fatamorgana Gelato. We make Italian gelato in LA.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Transcnd?

We engaged them to handle our social media pages organically. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team handled everything including all the content and creatives we needed for Instagram and Facebook. They took photos and videos. Additionally, they also scheduled all our posts, but I’m not sure what platforms they used for that. Furthermore, Transcnd assigned a community manager who was in charge of responding to comments, messages, and more. 

What is the team composition?

I could speak to their owner whenever I needed to. Then, they also had a brand director who was in charge of all of my accounts. We also had a brand manager and I think that person also served as our community manager. Moreover, Transcnd also had a production team in-house, so whenever we needed a material, they were our go-to. 

How did you come to work with Transcnd?

We found them through a business center. Their owner was giving advice at a conference and she was recommended to us. As a result, we decide to hire them and give them a try. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $10,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them for one year, and our collaboration ran from September 2018–September 2019. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When we hired them, we were a very young company and they helped a lot with growing our community online. They were great because they were also a branding company, so they helped us with the aesthetic of our social pages and assisted us in staying relevant to the community that we were addressing. 

How did Transcnd perform from a project management standpoint?

They had an excellent project management process. I mostly spoke to their brand director and she was always on point with everything. I don’t think there was ever a deadline that they didn’t meet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very creative and had out-of-the-box thinking. Additionally, they put a lot of effort into building our brand. Most of all, they stayed true to our branding while elevating it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing that they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Stay on top of things and give them all the materials they need. Furthermore, maintain a good relationship with the directors that they assign to you. Last but not the least, do your part.
