Advanced GPS GNSS technology handles challenging terrains and weather conditions, to ensure turn-key surveying, engineering, and drafting support for exploration, drilling, and infrastructure projects in the sector.

TTG provided technical translation services for our geospatial and technical data reports during an international oil & gas joint venture project. Their team demonstrated deep expertise in the energy sector, accurately handling complex survey terminology, geodetic data, well logs, seismic interpretations, and regulatory-compliant content across hundreds of pages, including CAD drawings and GIS overlays.

Their teams created a project-specific bilingual glossary, obtained our engineering approval upfront, and ensured consistent terminology throughout the main report, appendices, tables, and map labels. The final translation was reformatted with preserved layouts, searchable PDFs, and updated graphics, delivered on time despite a tight permitting deadline.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered an accurate, regulation-ready translation, handling complex survey terminology, geospatial labels, well logs, seismic interpretations, and CAD/GIS overlays. The bilingual glossary was validated by the projects engineering team, and their QA process gave us full confidence in the submission. The project met tight permitting deadline and passed regulatory review without revisions.

We were provided with a global PM team. Not because our communication came from anywhere outside of the US, but because this project required work at all times of the day. Response from their teams provided immediate communication to any of our queries. We were impressed by their professional and helpful manner, even when the project was under pressure on our end.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We've worked with other vendors before, but what stood out to us with TTG was their hands on approach no matter what the topic of communication was. At times it felt as though they were an extension of our organization with their teams clearly placing the same importance of timeline requirements and of the technical accuracy that had to be carried over into the translation. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Transatlantic Translations Group could have done differently?

In our experience with this project, nothing stands out that could have been handled better.
