Tom McGovern is a New York Times bestselling food and hospitality photographer based in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, working with restaurants, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, and cookbooks across the US and internationally.

Over a decade of commercial work has shaped an approach that is editorial at its core: imagery that makes food look the way it tastes and gives hospitality brands something they can actually use across print, digital, and social. Tom shoots stills and motion, and a growing share of projects combine both. A single campaign production can deliver hero photography alongside short-form video and social reels, reducing the cost and coordination of running separate shoots.

Clients range from independent restaurant groups to multi-property hotel brands and international cruise lines. Cookbook credits include NYT bestselling titles published nationally, with work alongside Food Network personalities and widely-read food authors. Location work has taken Tom to New Zealand, the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico, and throughout North America.

Engagements are structured two ways: project-based shoots scoped to a specific campaign, menu launch, or season; and monthly retainer arrangements for ongoing content, with a fixed number of shoot days and defined deliverables each month. The retainer model builds a consistent visual library over time rather than relying on infrequent one-off sessions.
