The large set of deliverables include:
- shop floor functions; work flows, scanning station functionality, 
- inventory mgmt; design and build an inventory module
-shipping module; capacity handle over 500 orders/day
-invoicing module; captures all elements for customer and vendor invoicing
-order processing; handles all incoming orders and assocaited documents
- quoting; included pricing, product configuration for estimates, and document viewing

I’m the head of operations at a background check and applicant tracking system (ATS) company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ticomix?

We were looking to go in a different direction with our technology and outsource. We hired Ticomix to rebuild our system.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ticomix has built a proprietary software system for us. We had initial calls and then met in person to discuss everything and provide the team with documentation. The team took a few months to build the system from the ground up. Ticomix has given us a scope of work for each section as we’ve gone along.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with a software architect who is our main point of contact. We've also met with their CEO, and 6–7 developers have worked on our project.

How did you come to work with Ticomix?

We found Ticomix through a referral from our attorneys.

We started working with them in February 2017, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've built a lot of integrations and saved time and money by not having to hire extra people and taking care of our needs through technology. Ticomix's work has exceeded our expectations.

How did Ticomix perform from a project management standpoint?

Ticomix delivers work on time and within budget. We communicate via phone calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams. We use Azure DevOps for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ticomix has explained everything well. The team is patient and helps us learn. They're knowledgeable about everything we need. If there's something they don't know, they research it. Ticomix is willing and eager to learn about our business to provide us with the type of service we need. They're thorough, helpful, and professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. We've had some hiccups, but Ticomix has always resolved them. We had one teammate that we didn't communicate well with, but they looked into it and switched him out when we mentioned it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give Ticomix all the information. The best thing for us is give the team everything because they see some things I wouldn't think of for my company. Give Ticomix the biggest picture so they can customize what might be helpful for your company, including statement of work, your preferred billing process, and all standard business processes.

Ticomix was hired to perform a technical code review of our custom-built case management system. The scope included evaluating code quality, scalability, security, and overall maintainability. Key deliverables: A written report outlining findings and prioritized recommendationsA summary scorecard covering core technical areasA stakeholder presentation to walk through results and next steps  The goal was to gain clarity on the current state of the platform and determine whether our internal development team is applying best practices.

Out initial project was a conversion of a legacy Visual FoxPro custom application that was 20 years old. The firm had out grown the system for a while and it was now becoming a huge bottle neck for getting work completed on time.

We needed to step the application up to the current Microsoft Visual Studio to catch up with the times and have a future to grow with the application.

Some of the import goals.

1. Improve speed of the Save in claims records
2. Expand the number of users on the system
3. Keep the interface from the old to the new as not to make a diffficult transition for the staff
4. Create a step to a step if we ever decided to place it as an online application
5. Moved document storage to SharePoint.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The first project with Ticomix was a huge success, along with each additional module we have added.  Work flow improved, acceptance of the new interface was easy, the link to SharePoint seamless, and support was always a key stroke away.

We worked with Micheal from Ticomix as our lead contact, project manager and Senior Software Architect.  We had several meeting before we had a face to face for a few days in their office to really bring everything to gether before starting the coding.

 Each section of the application was broken down into smaller projects which allowed for several pieces to be worked on at the same time and seamlessly brought together. Every step of each mini- project was updated in Azure which allowed for everyone to be on track and to be aware of the overall project.

The project was completed a little ahead of time which allowed us to prep the firms servers before the go live date.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One of the great features of Ticomix and the crew is that they are all intelligent, helpful, and won't stop until something is perfect. There is no gaps for a problem to fall through.  

We continue to look at new ways to improve the application and expand on its features. This is a company not only there to code your software but will be there to help you grow.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Ticomix could have done differently?

They need to open a branch office in Wilmingon, NC. to get away from that cold Illinois weather.

I’m the director of central IT at a university. I manage software engineers for a number of systems on campus.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ticomix?

We needed Ticomix’s niche experience for migrating us off a software product that wasn’t in use anymore.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ticomix provided IT consulting and web application development. Initially, we met with them and talked about our needs. We looked at our current state and talked to our business partners to understand their needs. We walked through what we needed to ensure in our future state. Based on that, Ticomix came back with suggested solutions.

Ticomix also did design work. They met with us and our stakeholders to ensure that they met our stakeholders’ needs. The team worked within our environment so that we could host the system. The system was a database that we needed to be able to query and pull up images.

What is the team composition?

We worked directly with a project lead who also acted as our technical lead. He managed a small team of developers on their end.

How did you come to work with Ticomix?

Our security team found them. We were searching for somebody who could assist with an application we wanted to get off of. Our security team did searches and interviews to ensure that the companies we met with would meet our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent under $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from October 2023–January 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our satisfaction was based on the users in our registrar’s office who needed access to this information for a variety of reasons. They were fully satisfied and appreciated the partnership. They got what they needed.

How did Ticomix perform from a project management standpoint?

Ticomix met deadlines and stayed on budget; the price was very reasonable. We were in touch and met often. They were incredible collaborators. We met over Zoom because they were on the East Coast, and we were on the West Coast. We also coordinated through emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Ticomix had a definite technical background and skills. They had a kind and collaborative nature. They were eager and wanted to help. They were also flexible and thoughtful in how they incorporated our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did what we needed them to do.

Meet with them often and ensure they understand your needs. They’re easy to work with.
