1. Project Overview
Lefeware Solutions was engaged by Finwello to enhance the performance, scalability, and resilience of its cloud infrastructure and data systems. The project also involved the development and deployment of Finwello's mobile application, ensuring seamless integration with existing data pipelines and cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

2. Project Objectives
Objective 1: Conduct a comprehensive audit of Finwello’s cloud infrastructure and data systems to identify optimization and scalability opportunities.

Objective 2: Enhance infrastructure resilience and scalability using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools including Kubernetes, Firestore, and Google Pub/Sub.

Objective 3: Develop and deploy the Finwello mobile application with seamless integration into existing data pipelines and cloud architecture.

Assessment: Conducted a full assessment of Finwello’s existing GCP architecture, including Kubernetes clusters, Firestore configurations, and Pub/Sub event management.
Analysis: Identified bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost optimization within cloud resource usage and data workflows.

3.2 Infrastructure Optimization and Scalability Enhancements
Kubernetes Optimization: Reconfigured Kubernetes clusters for optimal performance and scalability.
Implemented auto-scaling policies and resource limits for cost efficiency.

• Supported ACEP build their point of care tools application to help emergency physicians with diagnosing diseases. The ACEP Mobile app with helpful bedside tools provides clinical content and tools for EM physicians to utilize while providing care in the ED.
• Build ACEP, a consumer-facing mobile app for their members to improve member engagement and satisfaction.
• Build out of a notification infrastructure when specific actions occur in our system related to ACEP membership such as upcoming membership and subscription renewals.

The focus is to provide a condensed version of the website through the mobile app by taking certain areas of the website such as News, Clinical Policies, Advocacy, Reimbursement and Coding, Events, and other tools used by EM physicians such as Point of Care Tools and Grading Forms, and present the material on a mobile device.  

When information on the website is updated, it immediately feeds the mobile app.  

The framework that is constructed allows us to add other sections of the website to the mobile app as needed, such as adding CME Tracker for our members in the future.

The framework supporting the Point of Care tools allows for one point of entry and allows for consumption by the web and mobile apps.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Successfully stayed within the allocated budget.

Delivered the project on schedule, meeting all established deadlines.   Delivered many projects requested by members, including point of care tools.  The software design is well thought out and reusable.   

Achieved seamless integration of mobile and backend services with Azure infrastructure.

Lefeware worked within our sprint schedules delivering what was agreed upon for each release.  They work through the requirements with ACEP business analysts and product manager to deliver what is needed.  They also have to work with other developer squads to deliver some features becuase the other developer squads may be supporting a web application that we providing access to via the mobile app.

One of their developers is the squad lead for the mobile app development squad.  The squad lead manages all of the sprint ceremonies for that squad and interacts with others squad leads, business analysts, and product manager.

Their leadership, technical prowess, business acumen, and professionalism are most impressive.   A "we can do that" attitude.

Not at this time.  They adapted quickly to our release schedules and sprint ceremonies.   They actively participate like any other development team employed by ACEP.   They want to be part of the solution.
