Techugo started by developing wireframes for an iOS and Android app. They then moved on to creating real-time conversation features, document sharing capabilities, and an audio and video calling infrastructure.
Development is still in the testing phase, but the app has been bug-free so far. Their success to date, along with stand-out project management and transparent progress reports, has opened the door to additional work. Techugo combines a persuasive first impression with the expertise to back it up.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a marketing and communication manager for a leading professional services company. I’m responsible for one of our product wings, so I’m in charge of a number of applications, one of which is being developed by Techugo.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We were working on a chat application through which we can also track employees’ work. We have both day- and night shifts, and we were tracking employees manually. The challenge was in tracking them during night shifts.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The iOS and Android app will be used by our employees for chatting, sharing documents, and video and audio calling. We’re not considering a web version at the moment, but we might during the second phase. We prepared all our documents based on the concept we had of the app, which we then gave to Techugo.
Based on our RFP, they created a document detailing their understanding of the project and its functionalities, which we then iterated on until it met our standards. Afterward, we jumped into the analysis phase where they created app and admin panel wireframes. They then divided each development task into milestones, including application testing. Additionally, they fixed all bugs and created the app’s logo.
One-to-one, real-time chatting is the app’s main feature. Previously, if an employee wanted to send a document to someone, they had to write an entire email for it. Currently, they can attach and send documents similarly to WhatsApp, but they'll soon be able to track what documents they’ve sent to whom, and at what date and time, easily.
What is the team composition?
Techugo assigned a team of seven to eight people, including two iOS developers, two Android developers, a backend developer, a tester, and a designer.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
There are a lot of companies operating in the app development field, so it was difficult for us to select a good partner. I shared RFP documents with a number of companies and interviewed a number of salespeople about their technical teams. I found Techugo through their website, had a discussion with their sales and technical teams, and found them suitable for the application.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of their work has been $300,000–$350,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with Techugo since mid-December 2017. We’re currently in the testing phase, so we’ll be launching it soon.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We hardly found any bugs while testing the application, and we’ve tested it on a number of devices. Techugo provided a good team and I’m considering handing them the rest of the project as well. We’ll be launching the app soon, so I’m happy to see that the project is on track.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
They are very good in terms of project management. They use Zoho as a project management tool, which I’ve found to be very good. They update everything on a daily basis, so I haven’t encountered any difficulties in this area.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very flexible and transparent. During previous projects I’ve worked on, I would typically get updates from the development team on the 15th or 30th of the month. In Techugo’s case, I was notified about the work being done on a daily basis, and they completed all the work by the end of the week. We’ve had to make certain scope changes, and they happy about it. They make small changes right away and make suggestions about how we should approach bigger ones.
The iOS and Android development have been excellent. Most IT providers are good in terms of sales pitching, and I did find Techugo’s pitch to be good, but they really stand out with regards to their technical competency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There aren’t any. They need to maintain the same level of performance.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Anyone thinking of getting an application developed using Techugo should create their own documentation, but also ask the team to create project documentation. They are able to provide suggestions and feedback on the client’s particular idea. They don’t simply take projects; they put effort into them as well.

Techugo developed a chat and social media application for iOS and Android for a software developer. The app uses geolocation to show the user points of interest and advertisements for attractions near them.
Techugo successfully delivered a high-quality product per requirements, producing significant savings in time and money in contrast to not outsourcing the project. Their team stood firm in executing the product with its intended vision, quickly mastering an understanding of their goal.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of ChatKazam. We’re a startup that builds and develops software for the web. Our primary product right now is a chat and social media app.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We were looking for rapid deployment and a company that was able to develop a product in a relatively short timeframe. They had to have the technical expertise to develop our vision for the app that is relatively complex. Cost consideration was an issue for us as well.
We decided to completely outsource the first phase, and we will be working with our internal team for the second phase.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started off with conversations about our requirements for further definition of what we expected and what we wanted it to look like. From those requirements, they developed mock-ups to give us an idea of their interpretation of our requirements, which we further refined. We came to an agreement on how we wanted things to work and the process.
Throughout the process, they developed more mock-ups and screenshots for us to be able to get a full picture. We worked back and forth with them to specify the requirements before starting the coding and development. Once those things started, we had intermediate development phases when we were able to take a look at and test the app. The app is developed for both iOS and Android.
One of the primary features is that the app is built around the user's location; it follows them and knows where they are at any time. When they use the social media portion of it or they are in a new location where they are looking up specific activities, the app automatically brings up points of interest related to their location. Being able to drive and pick up photos and videos posted from a particular area was a challenge, but it turned out really well.
Phase one was completed and approved, and then the team here wanted to do some additional add-ons before releasing it. They are currently working on phase two which is in its final stages of development. We anticipate that it will be done in the coming weeks.
What is the team composition?
There have been about 30 people that worked on it including project managers, coordinators, coders, testers, and designers.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
We did some research online and we were also given suggestions. We requested bids from five different companies and asked for their input and an idea of what they thought they could do. Techugo came out on top, not only for the quality of their bid but also for the grasp they had on what we were looking for right away.
How much have you invested in them?
We will have spent around $30,000 once we are done.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in October 2017 and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There was a cost advantage using Techugo compared to what it would have cost us to develop the app in-house. From our estimates, we saved approximately $100,000.
On the delivery side, we cut four months off what we would have expected from our normal delivery time, and we also got a fairly quick turnaround from them.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Skype and MS Project for the delivery and for our schedule. We also used text messaging.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their willingness to get it right stood out throughout the process. They made sure that our vision is what came out in the app, and they worked diligently to deliver it.
For a new app that has some different and unique features that other apps don’t, there were times when requirements changed and shifted. They handled things well and have always been willing to make the little changes that we have asked for with speed and professionalism.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They have a great process and their team stays in contact with us. They have done a great job with the services they have provided for us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
People should go out there and get quotes and bids. For us, Techugo shined brightly with their professionalism. The quality of material that they provided and their quotation process were excellent, and it showed when they started doing the work. Techugo provides very high quality.

Techugo developed a native iOS and Android banking application that incorporates security features and allows users to monitor transactions.
Techugo suggested native app development rather than hybrid, ultimately benefiting the user experience and yielding positive results during beta testing. Their intelligent team’s supportive approach, availability, and dedication to finding solutions established trust.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a relationship officer for one of the leading national banks in India.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
As a bank, we’re not very familiar with technology. We have a huge database, and everyone was worried about security. We needed a partner to develop a mobile application for us.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed our native iOS and Android apps. They slowly completed the app and delivered the whole product.
We started with a basic banking app where users can log into their account and see their account status. Users can also see their transaction details and change their ID and passwords. In India, the government introduced a GST [Good & Services Tax] policy for e-commerce, so we had Techugo take care of all the taxes and payments for our app as well.
No other banks are providing something like this right now. We have a different website for tax payments in India, and there's no app in the market yet. We are the first ones providing such a feature on the mobile side.
What is the team composition?
I had a few meetings with their business team, and they involved their technical heads.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
We did an internet search for vendors in Delhi so that we would be able to commute and observe what their development offices were like. We pitched to a few companies in India and visited them. Visiting Techugo was a good experience for us. My two in-house technical resources suggested we use them, and then I suggested it to my company. The solution they provided intrigued us, so we decided to use them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $300,000–$400,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2015, and the app was released in November 2017. We now have a monthly agreement with them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything went perfectly. We wanted hybrid apps, but Techugo is the only company that suggested we go native because of the benefits. This altered the cost, but the users are really happy, and the user experience was improved.
We started beta testing with 1,000 internal users, and we received really good feedback. There were crashes and bugs, but the quality and features we’ve expanded in a short period of time has been totally impressive.
I understand that there might be some technical issues with launching a new product. They have always provided us with solutions for issues, and there’s never been a situation where they said something wasn’t fixable. The product we have now is far better than what we expected.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
The development process was very streamlined and systematic. They incorporated milestones into the budget, and everything was divided into those few features and delivered first.
They were always available, even though it wasn’t in the contract that they had to be. They were always responsive in case we had an emergency. Everything was consistently delivered on time. We communicated via Skype, and I also had the option of using WhatsApp, phone calls, or emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re intelligent, happy people. Whenever my technical team or I needed them, they were always there for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I am really happy with the experience.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Before looking for a technical partner, clients should always consider the type of work and people they want to work with. The best part about Techugo is that they are getting returning business more often than new business. In today’s world, getting returning business means that people have established trust. We’ve gone through Techugo’s case studies, and 80% of their business is returning clients. That gives me confidence that we can trust them.

Techugo built an iOS and Android enterprise app, which stores appointment and employee data to improve scheduling and oversight. Design efforts included wireframes and suggestions for scope.
Devoid of bugs and crashes, the app has saved money on resources, and improved organization and workflow. Effective collaboration exemplified the project manager’s comprehensive support and availability. A transparent milestone plan indicated timelines and corresponding billing.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the manager in charge of an IT company’s largest projects. We develop and outsource mobile app design.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
Our organization needed a vendor to develop an enterprise application to store all of our organization’s data pertinent to employees and appointments. We'd tried this project unsuccessfully with other companies in the past.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Techugo built an application from scratch for iOS and Android. Appointment information includes schedule date and exact type, while various reminders help us track our commitments. Aggregated employee data, including their responsibilities, joining date, and salary, help improve oversight. It’s exclusively used internally, by our own employees.
After we detailed our needs, they provided a corresponding document to confirm that we were on the same page. They designed and sent us wireframes for the design. Upon approval, they created a milestone plan that laid out the exact work they'd perform. Deadlines included the corresponding billing information.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I delegated our search for a mobile app vendor to one of my employees, who narrowed the choice to five companies. After I talked to their corresponding representatives, we finalized our engagement with Techugo. I chose them based on their ideas and ability to understand our exact needs, as well as their available add-ons. As a plus, they were very helpful and suggested ways we could improve as a company.
How much have you invested with them?
The bandwidth of our expenses was between $100,000-$115,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The timeframe has been approximately five to seven months, starting in June 2017. The app is almost done, but we're still going through some of the add-ons. I’m planning to use Techugo again if we need additional work.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app was delivered 15 days ago and is completely built. Right now, we don't have any bugs or crashes in our application. It hasn’t been out very long, however, and we hope it continues at this level of functionality in the future.
Our company has branches all over the world, which made management very difficult for us. Techugo has made it much easier to review files, see employee profiles, and oversee exactly what’s going on. The best part is being able to check specific upcoming appointments.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
An effective management style preempted any problems. I connected with them via Skype or e-mail, while my employees took any direct calls. I often have to take calls at the night, due to the nature of my work. Our assigned project manager was cooperative and accommodating. If we had any issues, he was available 24/7.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was most impressed by their level of knowledge and expertise. Their delivery method was excellent. They gave us useful suggestions and were great at communicating.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend Techugo highly because they make a great partner. On the development side, I understand that software bugs are inevitable. This only becomes problematic when a vendor is unable to resolve them. Excellent management skills made them proficient at troubleshooting.

Techugo created a mobile app that allows users to search for and check-in at events. They worked in milestones and completed the full development and design of the app. They continue to make app enhancements.
Techugo’s team created a well-functioning, easy-to-use mobile application. They stuck to the budget and their enthusiasm was impressive, allowing for a successful partnership and a successful mobile application.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the owner of an app that serves as an easy way to find events around your area with an intent to bring communities together. With an “automatic check-in,” the app makes it easy to decide which event to attend.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
I needed to develop and design an easy-to-use mobile application that looked good.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Techugo did the complete development and design of the application. We started with a milestone plan; they knocked this out quickly and it made very easy to determine which functionalities we were going to implement. Then, they worked on the design. I love the design of our project because it is easy on the eye, organized, and unique.
Next, we started the development, which included five milestones. We covered a wide range of features and functionalities. One key feature we find unique is the "automatic check in." This function allows the user to "officially" join an event by crossing a "geofence" that each event possesses.
After the development, we tested the app in a simulated world. With great results from the testing, we launched in the Google Play and Apple stores. Techugo was able to overcome many obstacles and bugs in a timely manner.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I found Techugo through AppFutura. I chose them because their business head was very welcoming and very helpful to a beginner in this particular field.
How much have you invested with them?
$11,000 - $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in June 2017 and development ended in the middle of September 2017. We continue to implement new functions every few months.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Even though the business is starting off relatively slow, members from Techugo and I believe that the app looks and functions very well. Despite the number of users we have currently, we have high hopes for the app.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
Techugo is great at sticking to an affordable budget, however, we didn’t finish as soon as I would’ve liked. Communication within the company can be improved as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The enthusiasm from their business head is outstanding. He is the only reason why I chose this company and he brings great hope my company as well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I found myself saying the same thing to a few different workers on separate occasions. Improved communication within the company would speed up development and business sales.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work on the Wi-Fi expert team for a telecommunications company providing Wi-Fi hotspot services to Indian universities. Our users connect to our network for free during the first 30 minutes, after which they can pay accordingly. We also provide solutions to hotels.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We have multiple servers and we needed the ability to track their statuses and usage.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Techugo developed an iOS app through which we can login to our VPN and, from there, see which servers are currently running and what their current utilization is. We can also perform testing and see alarms for any issue. We can live-track the alarms through the app. The app can also be used to monitor customer payments and to see how many people are using the network on a free and paid basis. There are other analytics for our network available within the app.
The app was developed using Java and PHP. We aren’t looking to develop an Android version at the moment.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
My company was already working with them when I joined. Techugo was referred to us by another company who had used their support services.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost of their work has been 6-7 million Indian rupees. [$90,000 to $110,000]
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Techugo around February 2017, and are continuing to use them for any issues we encounter, on a ticket-by-ticket basis.
We have not finished installing our network in all universities. In the future, we plan to expand the billing capabilities of the app for hotels, but this is only in the discussion phase at the moment. We plan to contact Techugo again for further development.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There were some issues with the app in the starting phase since it was new for both of our teams. At first, we were not able to connect to our VPN. After three to four months, almost everything was fixed. We still have issues with alarms not going off, but they will be solved. We have an SLA (service-level agreement) in place with Techugo, and they work according to our tickets.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
Techugo was professional and helpful in solving any problems we had when we contacted them and they resolved any issue within 24 hours. We have a management portal in place through which we can assign tickets.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a very good response time, compared to the last company we’ve used. Techugo responded to any issues we had, and I can appreciate them for this.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could increase the level of support for our tickets.

Techugo provided full frontend development for an iOS application. They used Swift 3 to develop the app based on existing designs, and also helped integrate various APIs.
Despite a change in project management halfway through the project, Techugo was accommodating in seamlessly handing the project over to another team member. Their team is well-versed and experienced in various areas, and they managed and executed the project flexibly and reliably.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a family-owned publishing company leading in the field of law publishing. I’m the third generation in the family. I deal with a product called SCC Online, which is a legal research database. It’s a repository with cases, digest notes, and articles—a search engine for legal research. We own the database and the engine.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We wanted to expand to mobile, so we needed someone to develop an iOS application for us. I had a developer who was working on my Android application, and he was also willing to work on iOS, but he was too busy for the project, so I had to look for someone else.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They offered us end-to-end development for our mobile application. There were certain services we didn’t sign up for, such as the backend development, because we own our search engine and want to create our own backend. We also have our own designer, so we didn’t need their design services. Techugo was doing all the execution on the app besides those two pieces.
They created the frontend of the application. They took our design and made it a functioning app, integrated our APIs, and got the app production ready. They used Swift 3 to develop the app.
The main feature of the application is that it scours our database and returns relevant documents. It can also look up status logs for the user, and push legal news notifications from our blog. It’s similar to how the Wikipedia app works.
This application is only for iOS, but it works on iPhone and iPad as well. We have our own Android developers who’ve been working on the Android application. They will hand the app over to me and I will launch it myself.
What is the team dynamic?
We only work directly with a project coordinator, but they have 3-4 people working on the app. There’s one dedicated developer, one dedicated tester, and one dedicated project coordinator, as well as some rotating assets.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I found them through a reference; a friend of mine had worked with them on an application in the past. I set up a meeting with them and liked what they were doing.
How much have you invested with them?
We have spent 600,000 Indian Rupees. [$10,000 USD]
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in August 2017, and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app is still in development, so I don’t have any metrics yet. But, we’ve been following a milestone plan and everything has been on time.
We divided the app into 4 major milestones. We’re done with milestone two and we’re currently working on milestone three, and the work I’ve gotten has been good so far. It’s mostly free of bugs because there’s a bug tester on their team as well.
In my experience, when I’m working with a developer on such a niche product, I find that the developer is often confused about the product itself and there are a lot of bugs. In this particular case, they’ve been using my web and Android app to understand how things are supposed to work. I think that’s why I’ve been getting a bug-free experience.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very accommodating in terms of the budget. We initially started off with a much higher budget but were able to work out places where we could cut costs. We already had a designer on board who was doing the design for Android, and Techugo was willing to work with that. That was flexible of them and it helped manage the cost. We only needed a developer and they were willing to provide just that service. They didn’t try to push more on us than we needed.
We did have a hiccup or two at first with the project manager they had allocated to the project. We had to have the person changed after the first milestone; they were very open to that. That project manager stayed on and helped hand over to the next project manager. When we started working with the new person, that was a great experience. The first person wasn’t well-suited for our industry or product.
All of our internal teams were on Slack and Techugo was willing to integrate with us there. We are in the same area, so we meet once or twice a week if we have to, at their office or our office. We sit together and talk about the deliverables and see how much they’ve done. I give them my change requests and they work on them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a lot of people in-house. If the dedicated resource on my project can’t do something, they have a backup. They have people skilled in different things. In my case, we used a SOAP API which the iOS developer wasn’t comfortable with, but they had someone else who was. They put that person on the project temporarily to keep it going. Because they have so many skillsets, when we hit a road block, we get past it quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They are very responsive to problems and it’s been going well.

Working from an existing Android design, Techugo built a private cross-platform app, including Windows Phone, that provides secure messaging capabilities for the company's employees.
User feedback to the app has been positive, as it saves time and allows issues to be resolved quickly. From start to finish, the team met and surpassed all requirements, had timely deliverables, and successfully completed the work well within budget.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We're a consultancy and software development company. I am a project manager.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We worked with them on a mobile application for managing employee profiles. Security was the main focus, as we did not want to disclose employees’ information to the public. We had tried to develop the app ourselves but always failed. We only had an Android version, which was complicated, prone to crashing, and wouldn’t open our intranet site, only the email. We went to Techugo to overcome these issues, as well as create versions for iOS and Windows Phone.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided a description of the problems we were facing, and told Techugo what kind of app we wanted. Techugo developed the Android, iOS, and Windows versions used by our employees. Through the one-time passwords we provide, users have access to their mailboxes and can perform other operations on our intranet by connecting to our VPN. The app can also send meeting notifications that would normally go to email.
What is the team dynamic?
Since another manager was responsible for our interaction, I am not sure about the size of the team assigned to us. I handled the reviews and the work on our end.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I looked online and heard from multiple people that they were a good company. We looked at another developer, but we were satisfied with Techugo after meeting them.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of their work was around $75,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Techugo around March or April 2017. The project was finished at the end of August. The app was accessible, but testing continued for a few more days.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were satisfied with what they achieved with the app. They integrated a great deal of security and turned it into a versatile platform that we could access from Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, which was a difficult task. It has saved us a lot of time when sharing important messages from managers and needing to have results quickly. Members can send me details while traveling, and if a deadline is missing or we have to acknowledge an issue, we can do it through the app.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
The management was good. In the beginning of the project, we discussed what kind of application we wanted and on which platforms. We communicated through email and during the meetings set up by the other manager.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They were responsive and responsible when it came to providing details. After the Android version was done successfully, we proceeded to iOS and so on. They got back to us in the time we gave.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I'm happy with their work.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Not particularly. Techugo is growing as a company, and I want them to attract more clients.

Techugo designed a native iOS app from scratch, building the wireframes, implementing various features, and developing the front- and backend. Future work will include the app's launch and bug maintenance.
They've produced an impressive app featuring all requested design elements. With competitive pricing and time savvy, Techugo have proved themselves to be experienced, proactive developers.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I had a classified app idea called Adzilla and am now the founder.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
I needed my app idea developed.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I told them my app idea, and they developed everything from scratch. They created the wireframes, different classified sections, and the forms the way I wanted it. They did all the backend development and frontend design for iOS. I’m planning to do Android as well. The app is still under development and should be ready in a few weeks. They will help me with launching it and bug maintenance.
What is the team dynamic?
I speak to the assigned project manager.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
I had never developed an app before. After reading good reviews on GoodFirms.com, I called Techugo, who gave me good reasons to go with their company, including charging a decent amount compared to other companies. When I consulted another developer, they told me that I should go for a hybrid app. Techugo suggested a native app because it’s better. They seemed to be well experienced, so I went with them.
How much have you invested with them?
Around $6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2017, and the work is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don't have any drawbacks or complaints about them. They do whatever I ask them to do, and they do it quickly. The unfinished parts of the app they’ve developed work fine, with no issues.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything is well organized. They take time to contact me and let me know what’s going on. Our primary communication tool is Skype, though we also use email. They send me pictures of what they’ve developed, and I give them any corrections. If I don’t understand something, they are always open to communicate with me. They deliver on time and stick to the budget. If there’s anything that’s not within the scope, they let me know.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re client friendly and respond quickly to my messages.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’re fine the way they are.

Techugo built iOS and Andoird mobile apps and will be launching both soon. They designed a logo and splash screen and developed payment features and back-end systems.
The app is highly functional and easy to use. Techugo impressed with their reliable communication, timely deliveries, and transparent development process. The team's dedication and work ethic enabled them to deliver the app far ahead of schedule.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My app is the “Uber for nightlife" and provides information about all the clubs in a given location. We’re launching first in London.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
I wanted to build the finest-quality app, with as few technical glitches as possible. It was difficult to find a partner until I found Techugo.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I described my idea and Techugo came up with an approach. They developed the first version of my app for iOS and Android, and continue to handle all technical aspects of the app.
They helped with everything related to the app, including logo design. The app features payment functionality and a unique splash screen—something other developers told me would increase the app size, but in the end, did not.
What is the team dynamic?
There are seven people assigned to the project, with Abhinav Singh [CEO, Techugo] acting as project manager.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
We weren’t finding good prices or quality in the U.K., so we decided to look on Indian websites and found Techugo listed as one of the top developers. They were the only company we contacted since they met all of our criteria.
How much have you invested with them?
The project budget was around $14,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in around June 2017. The finishing touches are being made on the app, and we’ll be launching it worldwide soon. Depending on the success of the launch, we’ll look into having Techugo provide continued support for the app.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The final result was actually better than my expectations. The app is very user-friendly. Once a person opens it, it’s unlikely they’ll look for an alternative. It gives you every bit of information you might want about a nightclub—especially for people new to a city with no clue about the local scene. I’ve shown the app to various nightclubs in London, and they’ve told me it’s a great idea. We’re ready to list them and to launch the app in multiple countries by 2018.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve solved our challenge. Even with them being based several time zones away, we’ve had no problems working with them. Everything has been smooth and efficient—and they delivered the app way before the deadline.
It helps that the owners are in constant communication. While my brother interacts with them more than I do, the project is divided into milestones. Once they reach one, I’m in the loop. I’m always informed about the project thanks to their constant updates on WhatsApp and Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are one of the leading app companies in Asia and stand out in terms of reliability and trust. Without even meeting them, we transferred the money from the U.K. and it was as if dealing we were with someone we’d known for 10 years.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They completed the project well and I’m happy with their work. They should simply continue as they are.
