Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the sales manager of a sales company that sells PPV and sports events packages to bars and restaurants in Canada.

What challenge were you trying to address with Techtone?

We were looking to replace our previous IT specialist to provide us with managed IT services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Techtone is our primary IT solutions partner that provides us with a plethora of IT-focused services. The team helps us by recommending the best software and hardware tools to utilize, and resolving our technical issues through on-site visits and 24-hour remote support.

What is the team composition?

We mainly interface with two members of their team.

How did you come to work with Techtone?

My partner knew a person in web design who recommended Techtone, so we basically came across their company through word of mouth.

How much have you invested with them?

We have a monthly retainer with Techtone, which costs around $2,000 CAD (approximately $1,500).

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since June 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t have any numbers to share, but Techtone does a good job of keeping our old systems afloat just by diligently working on them.

Moreover, they’ve implemented a lot of new technologies and so far, they’ve helped us accomplish 26 projects.

How did Techtone perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well from a project management perspective, but they generally don’t do much of it nowadays. They’re currently doing maintenance and preventative work, which they’ve been consistently great at.

They’re also easy to get ahold of and we typically communicate with them through the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like how they initially took the time to understand our business, our operations, and how they took each important aspect of our needs to heart.

We’re just really impressed with how much attention to detail they give to make sure our systems are working.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on their responsiveness, but it’s very infrequent and I believe that aspect of the relationship is just brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. They normally respond quickly and resolve our issues with agility.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to just explain the important parts of your business, and they’ll make sure to secure and protect them — expect them to take over from there.
