Get a real-time quotePrecision first. Named translators, always revised
Techniwords translates the documentation US industry cannot afford to get wrong: equipment and maintenance manuals, technical specifications, safety data sheets, CAD drawings, patents, validation protocols, inspection reports, and tenders.
Founded in 2011 near Houston by two linguists from the energy sector's documentation world, we built the company around one conviction: a technical document should be translated by someone who could have written it. Our senior linguists hold engineering degrees — mechanical, electrical, chemical, aeronautical — and worked in industry before becoming translators. They read a P&ID, a GD&T callout, or a torque specification the way your own engineers do.
What clients notice first is that we name names. Every quote identifies the translator we would assign, with their degree, language pair, and years of experience, and you can review that profile before committing. On ongoing accounts the same specialist stays with your documentation, so terminology decisions accumulate instead of resetting each project.
What protects them is the process. Terminology is agreed with your engineers and locked before translation starts. A sector-matched specialist translates into their native language only. A second independent linguist revises every sentence against the source. A final pass verifies numbers, units, and hazard statements as a separate step — because a technical translation error rarely announces itself. It reads fluently and sits quietly in a figure until someone acts on it. The workflow follows ISO 17100, and certified translations with a signed accuracy statement are available where regulators or courts require them.
60+ languages across 30+ industrial sectors: manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, energy and oil & gas, medical devices, chemicals, construction, software. Based in Texas, working across all 50 states. Itemized quotes within one business hour and translation memory discounts on recurring content.

Our Story
Two linguists founded Techniwords in 2011 after years producing
energy-sector documentation. They had seen too many manuals return
grammatically perfect and technically wrong: a converted pressure
rating, one component named three ways. Our founding rule holds
today — a technical document should be translated by someone who
could have written it. We recruit engineers who became linguists,
revise every project independently, and turn down everything outside
technical documentation.
