Technigami took over an unfinished project and provided expertise to complete the development. They performed multiple services including, among others tasks, coding, testing, and bug fixing.

The technology used in the development was proprietary, which posed a learning curve for the team. Nevertheless, they were instrumental in getting the project back on track and delivering an excellent product. Furthermore, the team is easy to work with and maintains open communication at all times.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company.

We are a members-only travel loyalty program based in Santa Rosa, Calif.

What are your role and responsibilities?

I am a project director and technical manager.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was your goal for working with Technigami?

The company had gone through a lot of restructuring, and when I came in I had to take over one of the partner’s projects while the other partner had left, taking the original development team with him. I desperately needed a technical architect, which we went ahead and hired, but he left with very little notice six months later. Before leaving, however, he at least reached out to Technigami, and they pretty much just stepped in and took over. They really helped me get my feet on the ground and move forward with the tasks at hand. I guess you could say that they saved us.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their work.

They did everything. Our software platform was homegrown, so we didn’t have much in the way of technical notes or anything. So, it was kind of a blind leap with a lot of bug fixing.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

We spend approximately $78,000 a year with them.

When did you start working with Technigami?

We started working with them in November of 2013.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How satisfied are you with the work of Technigami?

We’re very satisfied. They just jumped in and helped us figure things out. We obviously faced a bit of a learning curve, and there was some frustration on my side but that was not their fault. They’re easy to work with, very nice and always there. Things would go wrong at the worst possible times, but I could always reach out to them and someone was always there to help me. They were particularly helpful at the beginning when I was on my own.

Is there anything unique about Technigami that really makes them stand out compared to other companies?

The best thing about Technigami is their personal touch. I didn’t have to go through a lot of hoops to reach somebody. They are really good communicators.

What advice would you give a future client of theirs?

I think that they should either request, or have on staff, a QA [quality assurance] person. I had to fill that role myself, and there were definitely times when I was surprised they didn’t catch errors. So, you need to make sure you’ve got a QA function or be sure QA is provided by Technigami.
