I’m the founder of Snatch, a tasking startup. It allows communities to request and provide simple tasks like cooking, gardening, caretaking, etc.

I needed someone to build the software and mobile app for my company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd provided services beyond the typical software developer. Their team helped me refine my business idea, giving me suggestions on how to successfully build a start-up and operate within our markets. 

After those discussions, they developed both an iOS and Android version of the app. The first draft was ready after about three months, but there were many revisions and iterations to follow because it’s a pretty complex app.

I worked mainly with their project manager who was supported by a team of iOS and Android developers. In total, there were about 6–7 people from Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd.

How did you come to work with Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd?

I met the founder through LinkedIn, and he told me that he was planning to visit Singapore. We met and chatted over coffee, but didn’t enter any formal agreements. After two or three more visits, I decided to give him and his company a chance. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $50,000 SGD (about $36,000 USD) on their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2018–September 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They provided a really good service and delivered a high-quality final product for a fair price in the software development market. They’ve had a big impact on our company, and we’re still making progress with their support. 

The Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd team is very trustworthy and committed to their clients. This is my first time building a company, and they’ve shared some insight based on their background and experience in the field. I value their support, and I know I can count on their team. 

How did Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Although we’re based in different cities, I worked very closely with the project manager, providing a lot of guidance and support. I communicated exactly what I needed in detail from the start of the project through each of the revision stages. Their team is highly dependent on feedback, and they work hard to ensure they’re meeting their client’s expectations.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very supportive, acting more like a partner or consultant. I can count on them to give constructive feedback and valuable insight. When working through the design and aesthetic stages of the project, they like to work very closely with their clients. When looking more broadly at my company’s software and business direction, they’ve shared suggestions that changed the course of my startup. 

Additionally, Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd operates on the concept of trust. They’re flexible on payment, which I appreciate as I’m funding this startup on my own. Their team allowed us to structure the payment agreement in a way that we're most comfortable with. It’s clear that the team cares about the success of our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The team is highly dependent on feedback from their clients, which can lead to a bit more back-and-forth. There is a language barrier, so reviewing their work requires a more detailed approach from our end. I would recommend that they bring on a teammate who could do some of the proofreading tasks internally.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear on your vision and expectations, and be ready to work very closely with their team’s developers. In this partnership, you can’t just send everything to a developer and expect a perfect final product — the Techddy Solution Pvt Ltd team likes to build a working relationship with their clients.

We have retained a relationship with them for further development and back office support and frequently recommend them to associates & our own clients.

What were your goals for this project?

Timely relaunch of the company website and migration from the original host platform plus strategic advisory input for our business process & back office developments.

None identifable at this time except perhaps building the Singapore team to capitalise on the referral business we can provide
