I am the owner and founder of 4FUTURE DGT AGENCY based in Slovenia.

For what projects/services did your company hire Taia Translations, and what were your goals?

We hired Taia Translations for the sole purpose of translating fast and efficiently for our clients. Our goal was to add another income source to our company and scale abroad with our marketing campaigns, but were unable to find quality and fast translators.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Taia through a refferal of one of our business partners. We tried them out and immediatly saw the potential in upgrading our services.

They regurarly translate multiple projects per month for our agency. Our collaboration is ongoing since 2017. Their software is user friendly when it comes to Taia and very fast. Being fast in marketing world is crucial for us and our companies so Taia makes perfect sense.

What was their cost structure like?

They offer multiple options based on the difficulty and project lenght. You acn also choose between the "quality" of translation. Our most effective way and still more cost efficient than hiring outside person was def. their premium package.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to add additional clients as a result of offering translation services and we were also able to expand our business and marketing efforts to new countries.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are the fastest when it comes to delivering high-quality service, which is a huge bonus for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I believe they could offer some agency packages upfront, so more companies like mine could connect with them!

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a regional office for an international NGO that works on security-related matters in the Balkan region. I’m a project manager, and we’re currently working on a border security program. Since our project is financed, we have to follow specific procedures to engage with our vendors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Taia Translations?

We’ve done eight different projects with Taia. In general, all of our work serves two different purposes. They translate subject-matter-related material and other texts for an e-learning course, as well as our institute’s official documentation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our process is pretty straightforward. We send an email to our Taia representative with the details of what we need to be translated, and we do everything through their platform.

We’ve worked with them specifically on our e-learning module. We developed it in English, and they translated it into several different languages.

What is the team composition?

Two people have been involved. We started with a test run with one representative, and we had him for a while, but then he switched jobs. We got a second representative, and we now communicate only with her.

How did you come to work with Taia Translations?

Since the funding of our donors limits us, we had to find offers from several vendors and do preliminary evaluations to get the most competitive price. Our former director chose them, but I believe they contacted them directly and scheduled a meeting. Their representative came in and presented their company and how their platform worked.

The step-by-step process and proofreading options of the platform made it an effortless choice. We agreed that they’d do a free translation of a document that we’d already translated. We uploaded the file to their platform and saw that the whole process was seamless. 

Once the test translation was done, and we’d witnessed how their process worked, we really liked the possibility of having Taia take care of our project, especially when anything urgent came up. They also offered to handle the translation of legal texts, including the stamp of the official translation.

Additionally, they were very responsive, which indicated how long the work could take. We also liked their software because of how it recognized text. We weren’t being charged by the number of words since the system reviewed the entire text and didn’t consider repeated words.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we’ve spent a little under €26,000 (approximately $31,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We had our initial meetings with Taia Translations in 2019, and our first collaboration was in July of that year. The last project we handled with them was in March 2021, and it involved the translation of our official documentation regarding the statutory changes to our institute.

We currently don’t have an open project with them, but we’ll approach them soon to translate a document that’s currently under work.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we develop a new learning course, our goal is to make the new modules available as soon as possible. In that sense, we wouldn’t be able to reach our goals without Taia. They provide their translations so we can make the modules live.

Moreover, we always engage with others having results in mind, and Taia’s team delivers. We’ve had zero complaints or negative comments on their services, and we’re very happy with the quality of their work. They’re aware of contextual and cultural differences in the translations, especially with the Bosnian, Montenegrian, and Serbian languages. Also, they pay attention to minor details that only someone native to the region or very knowledgeable in the language would pick up on.

Overall, they really know their stuff and are very professional.

How did Taia Translations perform from a project management standpoint?

Taia has a platform to upload documents and go through different processes and stages. We haven’t had problems with transferring the translated text to our platforms. For legal documents, a colleague communicates directly with our representative.

Also, their team is excellent at communicating any issues regarding quality control. Translators come to us when they need us to explain further to get the terminology right. Since our field is very specific, it’s essential that our terminology doesn’t get confused, and we haven’t had any issues with Taia’s work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We can give them a job and forget about it. We don’t have to worry about anything because we know it’ll be done perfectly. There’s no need for a quality check, and everything is at the high level that we expect.

Taia has really helped us out, especially with pressing projects like our e-learning modules. We’ve even pushed deadlines up a bit, and they’ve still been able to accommodate us and deliver the work on time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything has been great. I don’t have any negative comments regarding their work or professionalism.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a meeting with them and see a live demo of their process and how the platform works. I’m not a language professional, but speaking with them and using their services made it clear that they know their business.

Also, that initial meeting helped us understand all that goes into translations and made it easier for us to evaluate our needs and ask for a special rate. Taia is very flexible with that, so try to get the best deal for you.

Our purchasing selected Taia - do not know what were deciding factors - I can let you know after a while when he returns.

It was just a lot of translations so they did their job well and professionally. No complaints. They stuck to their deadlines and the final product was okay.
