We needed a development team we could depend on. We came from a situation where the same problems kept coming back and nobody on the development side was thinking about our business with us. Major part of what we were hiring for was to end that.
SOLUTION
Can you describe the scope of work Taapti Technologies has handled for your company?
Taapti Technologies has developed a platform for invoice automation. The platform has processed 37,703 invoices at 99.72% average extraction accuracy, and only two of them have failed outright. Doing that by hand took us about 15 minutes an invoice, so it has given us back somewhere near 1,170 working days of data entry, and we’ve absorbed that volume without adding back-office people. On procurement, we’re saving real money every month. The platform classifies every line item, compares prices across vendors, tells us why a price moved, and splits a site's order so each item is bought from whoever is cheapest. Moreover, the same team has built the AI pipeline that reads our supplier invoices and pulls the data out of them, the price comparison that decides which vendor we buy each item from, and the 3D model on Autodesk where our engineers mark off pipe status on site. Those are three completely different kinds of work. I expected to need separate people for each, or an outside specialist for the 3D part, and we didn’t.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We can be relaxed about development now. Features are delivered on time and at good quality, and the delivery speed is awesome. Before this, bugs returned every single day, and every new feature broke something that already worked. Now, a released feature stays released, and my team spends its time using the software instead of reporting problems. That is the change I feel most day to day. The number of bugs has been reduced by around 60%. Moreover, every project has its own access and its own conversation, so a discussion stays attached to the project instead of scattering across email and phone calls. Delivery predictability is a metric too. Features land when they said they would, so I can plan around them. Delivery deadlines never miss even by a day now. We measure success by what we keep asking for. We’ve kept commissioning new modules instead of looking elsewhere, and the current one is live job tracking across whole buildings and campuses. User satisfaction has increased by more than 40%.
