What challenge were you trying to address with Synergy Consulting?

We were looking to better certain departments in our organization as we grow with coaching and development.

To date, they’ve outlined a survey that will identify our top HR concerns.

They’re working directly with our HR teams and are involved in our weekly meetings. We’re currently contracted with them on a retainer basis for 13–15 hours per month, both for coaching and then recruiting resources.

We were referred to them by someone who’d worked with them at a previous employer.

We’ve spent around $12,000 CAD (approximately $9,000 USD) with them.

We’ve been working together since May 2022.

We haven’t created any metrics for success other than the 5–8 items that are on our list to complete.

How was project management handled?

They’re very involved, and the communication has been high-grade so far. We interact over email at the moment.

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

They have more than 50 years of experience working in HR consulting and management.

In what specific areas can they improve?

They could manage the hours in the retainer a bit better to ensure that they don’t go over.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Create KPIs ahead of time so that you can properly measure success.
