I’m the CEO of an advanced optical device manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sylvie Design?

I needed Sylvie Design to redesign our company pitch deck.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, I discussed what I would like to be done about our pitch deck. We also talked about the price and timeline of the project, telling Sylvie Design what I wanted. From there, they designed the deck for us. 

What is the team composition?

I only worked with Sylvie (Owner, Graphic Designer, & Illustrator). 

How did you come to work with Sylvie Design?

I found Sylvie through a referral. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $2,000 CAD (approximately $1,500 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from January–February 2021. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Sylvie picked truly interesting colors; her ability to select the right colors was great. The product ended up great. She also picked nice fonts to go along with everything. Overall, working with Sylvie was a nice experience. 

How did Sylvie Design perform from a project management standpoint?

We didn’t use any project management tools. Instead, we communicated closely. Moreover, Sylvie was able to pick this project up on short notice. She got started on it in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, and I respected her a lot for that. On top of that, her scheduling and budget were in line with everything we discussed in the beginning. To communicate, we used emails and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sylvie’s unique style was great. She had an impressive style on the look of her portfolio; there was definitely a unique vibe there. Further, she could carry that style through interesting formats, such as through our company’s pitch deck. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. Sylvie put together a good product at a good cost. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You don’t need to try hard to get the most out of your engagement with Sylvie. She has a one-on-one approach, and she’s both the talent and the manager of her company; she does a great job.
