I’m a senior consultant for AnitaB.org.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Sway Effect?

We needed help to expand awareness and elevate the brand.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we walked The Sway Effect through the company’s mission statement, the founding principle of all our programs, and our audiences. We worked together to come up with a statement of work that outlined how to increase the press exposure for the organization, its mission and programs, and our CEO. The strategy was primarily PR and publicity-driven, but they also helped us with messaging, positioning, and our social media strategy.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 4–5 team members on an ongoing basis. In particular, we worked closely and were in constant contact with Jennifer (Founder & President).

How did you come to work with The Sway Effect?

They were a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2020, right before the COVID-19 pandemic, and our engagement lasted two years.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We saw a significant increase in publicity exposure and a big improvement in the caliber of media outlets. They were able to secure an ongoing byline for our CEO in Forbes and helped guide the messaging for it. Additionally, they got our CEO more interviews with high-profile media. Moreover, we saw a big jump in website visits, social media followers, engagement, and reach. It was all really impressive. The Sway Effect secured a lot in a short time.

How did The Sway Effect perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was excellent. We communicated through calls, Google Docs, Slack, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were exceptional at getting to the heart of our company’s value proposition. They were able to create and implement a strategy around it. All in all, they excelled at getting things done.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there wasn’t anything to improve.
