OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Sun Life?

Our site was really old, so we needed someone to develop four websites for our brands.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sun Life built four websites for us from scratch using Python. Initially, we took one week to write the technical details of what we wanted. A significant part of the project was creating the main page. Additionally, there were about five pages, including a financial one. We also had to add some test drive buttons and make the websites mobile-friendly.

Now, they continue working on our websites as our models change and pages need modifications.

What is the team composition?

We work face-to-face with two project managers. We have eight developers and one designer on the team.

How did you come to work with Sun Life?

We did an online search and asked for suggestions from friends. Our city isn’t big, so everybody knows everyone. We chose Sun Life out of five companies.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2019, and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our clients can now test-drive our models, but overall, they created good websites and followed our standards.

How did Sun Life perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager is very friendly. He reports to us once a week, asks questions, and makes suggestions. I can contact him late in the evening, and he still answers. Overall, working with their team is comfortable. They’re flexible and professional.

We started off communicating via email. However, we switched to WhatsApp because it was easier.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I can contact them at any time. The team is great, and they’re professional and friendly every time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve.
