I’m the founder of Legacy Code HQ. We build tools that confidently help software teams transform and stabilize massive codebases without the risk of rewrites or guesswork.

What challenge were you trying to address with Studio Infer?

We needed help building a developer tool.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Studio Infer developed two desktop products and two websites. The websites included landing pages and a cost estimator. The team also created a framework for landing pages for subsequent product launches. Additionally, they created a design system for our desktop products and helped us with user interviews and user flows while designing the product.

The entire flow of the application was designed to allow users to open a new project and perform a deep analysis. The application also had a visualization feature that helped users understand how different components within a large codebase were interconnected. One of the best features was a drag-and-drop interface that helped users clearly isolate features from one another.

We worked with one teammate from Studio Infer.

How did you come to work with Studio Infer?

I found Likitha through X. She made a video about her work, which was intriguing. I also saw her work and designs from some of her tweets. Studio Infer’s online presence and portfolio were impressive, and the first interview went well. The team was very clear about what they could do and what they couldn’t do. The negotiation and expectations were set right from the beginning, and we seemed to have alignment.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June 2024–February 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a product that we could demo with other people and a website that allowed customers to know what we were building. The product is a B2B product for a niche customer base, and we were still in private beta. Users were quite happy with where the product was heading and how it was helping them. The feature helped them isolate features from a very large codebase and extract them without a lot of effort was particularly beneficial.

How did Studio Infer perform from a project management standpoint?

Studio Infer delivered on time. The team was very communicative and kept me in the loop. They were often ahead of schedule, and in rare cases when they weren’t, they let me know ahead of time. We communicated via Slack, emails, video calls, and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Studio Infer was reliable and creative. The team brought a lot of expertise to the table, and their execution was top-notch. They showed initiative and went above and beyond to ensure the project was a success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing I could think of. Studio Infer was pretty receptive to feedback and accommodated all my reasonable requests.
