ClaimFull Service Stained Glass Studio
People often ask us how we got our name. The truth is, it is a term of endearment between the shop owners. We are both quite stubborn, and Lisa loves cows. Somewhere along the way, we started calling each other stubborn cows, and when it came time to name the business, we couldn’t think of anything more appropriate.
We have been stained glass artisans for over 20 years. For 10 years, we owned and operated a full service stained glass studio in Downeast Maine. There, we sold supplies, glass art objects, and held various levels of classes. In 2021, we sold our studio building and moved our production operations to the studio in our home. Our products are available directly from us and also in select retail venues. If there is a project you have in mind, or something you see in one of our galleries that is not available online to purchase, please contact us. We are happy to work with you to create a special, one of a kind piece. Our current focus is in commission and custom design pieces. We will work with you to ensure that your vision is well implemented in glass.
Stubborn Cow Glass is located on the coast in Downeast Maine.
We provide custom design and fabrication services for stained glass panels, lamps and windows rendered in both the Tiffany foil and traditional leaded methods. We create our products using a large assortment of art glass (Youghiogheny, Uroboros, Bullseye, Wissmach, Oceanside (formerly Spectrum), and cabinet glass.

Our shopping page has selected works for sale. If you would like to purchase something in one of our galleries that you do not see in the online store, please contact us. Our work is available at Gifts at 136 in Damariscotta, Artisans & Antiques in Winter Harbor, Harbor Artisans in both Northeast Harbor and Southwest Harbor, and at Pemaquid Craft Co-op in New Harbor.
