Stratford-Cambridge Group (SCG Equity) was founded in 2009 with a sole purpose: to invest and build market-leading, Midwest-based industrial businesses. Since our inception, SCG Equity has specialized exclusively in the manufacturing sector with a particular focus on engineered products. We typically invest in entrepreneur-owned companies that are seeking an experienced partner to lead their business after they retire.

By instituting new leadership, a compelling vision and strategy along with solid business practices and engineering expertise, we take companies to the next level in regard to their financial trajectory and market performance. For our investors, we offer the returns and diversification of the private equity class at a lower fee point than comparable private equity firms.  

Our investment criteria is as follows: (i) industrial sector; niche manufacturing & engineered products; (ii) Midwest-based; and (iii) Revenues in excess of $10mm and cash flow positive.
