It All Started With Race Cars

Craig Stewart grew up in San Diego's East County, the hub of the off-road racing world. As son of legendary racer Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, he was always working in the garage on cars. By the time he was 15, he was building championship winning race trucks for one of the top teams. 

Next, Craig rounded out his metal fabrication skills under the direction of some of the best in the business at Unique Metal Products. There he became a frequently requested fabricator by customers, due to his easy-going personality and impeccable attention to detail. 

In 1995, Craig and Sherrie started Stewart's RaceWorks, which quickly became one of the top fabrication shops in off-road racing. We are famous for our high-end luxury prerunners, built from the ground up.

Over the years, with Craig's reputation for quality craftsmanship, came inquiries to build things beyond the off-road industry. Knowing diversification is key to longevity, along with the desire to do new and interesting things, Stewart Fabrication was born..

Our Team

Craig is skilled in SolidWorks CAD software, and has the knowledge to build just about anything. Sherrie runs the business side of things, and is also a graphic designer. Several talented fabricators and an engineer round out our creative, meticulous, and ingenuous team.

The majority of our metal fabrication work is custom, one-off pieces. We fabricate heavy duty industrial parts, delicate artwork, and almost everything in between. We are always happy to refer you to another reputable business if there is something out of our wheelhouse. 

We have become the go-to shop for implementing large public works of art and other unique or difficult projects, but appreciate the simple things too.
