StarBIM has been instrumental in our team's continued and successful delivery on numerous projects. Over time, their role has grown to cover a wide range of responsibilities, including, in some cases, taking the lead on structural engineering efforts. Their contributions primarily support our engineering department, assisting throughout all phases of a project’s lifecycle—from early-stage conceptual modeling, to coordination with both internal and external architectural teams, to development of robust structural analysis models using RSA and Dlubal RFEM, and ultimately producing complete, high-LOD Revit models informed by the final design outputs.

As our internal workflows expanded from 2D drafting toward 3D-based delivery, StarBIM also stepped in to support early architectural modeling. Their implementation efforts helped us bridge the gap between legacy documentation practices and integrated 3D workflows, contributing to the development of several architectural models alongside their structural scope.

Their technical proficiency, responsiveness, and ability to integrate seamlessly with our team have made them a trusted extension of our practice. There’s occasionally a bit of ramp-up time when we adjust internal workflows, particularly when newer team members on their side are getting up to speed. But to their credit, StarBIM has always shown a strong ability to adapt quickly and take feedback constructively. They don’t just follow instructions—they try to understand the intent behind the workflow, which helps us align faster the next time around. With each project, that learning curve has gotten shorter, and the collaboration more seamless. Great work!

As part of the renovation of the glass roof of the library in Nettetal-Breyell, the building was recorded in detail both inside and out over an area of around 2,310 m² using 3D laser scanning and UAV drone flights and then evaluated as a 3D model. The result: a high-precision 3D model, created in the CAD system Revit, which depicts all the building structures as a deformation-compliant interfering edge model. This created an exact digital basis for planning, analysis and renovation measures.
In addition, the client received an interactive point cloud viewer file that combines the point cloud and panoramic images - for a realistic, digital inspection of the building directly on the screen. This solution simplifies communication during the course of the project, improves planning accuracy and ensures maximum transparency - real added value for modern construction projects.

Right from the start, we were impressed by their professional and structured approach. The point cloud was interpreted with great accuracy and the resulting 3D model was true to life down to the smallest detail. Of particular note was the clear communication throughout the process, including regular updates on the progress of the project. All the requirements we defined were meticulously considered and implemented.

The 2D drawings were also of exceptional quality. They were characterized by their precision and clarity, which made further processing and documentation much easier. Another major plus point was the short processing time with consistently high quality.
