Since 1915, this family-owned company has set the standard for residential and commercial glasswork across the greater New Orleans region. The La Borde family name has been synonymous with exceptional customer service, excellent workmanship, and an unyielding attention to detail for more than 100 years. Standard’s advanced facility boasts arguably the finest collection of glassworks machinery in the region so we can deliver faster service and better quality for our customers. Automated cutting technology enables our seasoned craftsmen to deliver more precise cuts and faster turnaround times on large (200 piece) orders. For maximum efficiency, our backlit glass washer thoroughly inspects each piece, detecting the slightest imperfections prior to delivery, resulting in fewer wasted trips.

Our expert technicians are fully trained in cutting-edge innovations like UV bonding, a rigorous and complex, multi-phased approach that can bond glass shelves to mirrors and to walls so that they appear to float. UV bonding is ideal for glass display cases like those found in high-end retail environments too. Trained by Bohle Industries in Germany—the pioneers of this amazing process—Standard’s craftsmen have also mastered the use of their Silberschnitt tools for advanced glass cutting and breaking. Not many glassworks in the country, much less the region, can claim such distinction.

In addition, Standard’s edge machine provides a dizzying array of edgework for mirrors, tabletops, and custom shelving. Our CAD artists can even etch any name, symbol, pattern, or artwork for custom-created glass. We can sandblast a pattern, dictated entirely by you, to create the ideal, personalized aesthetic for your next project.
