The project resulted in an improvement of financial organization, and accuracy for my business. My bookkeeping records were updated and maintained, everything was organized, and financial reporting became more efficient. They helped with tracking my cash flow, and reducing the administrative workload for me. It gave me more time to focus on growing my business.

I’m the owner of a medical company.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire SRJ Chartered Professional Accountants to accomplish for your healthcare practice?

I wanted to find an accounting firm that specialized in doctors and healthcare professionals who could help me with lowering my taxes and filing my returns on time. I also wanted someone who could help me with my R&D research and filing SR&ED tax credits. Additionally, I needed someone who could help me with my monthly bookkeeping.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SRJ Chartered Professional Accountants handles all of my annual tax obligations, including corporate and personal tax returns, bookkeeping, SR&ED tax filings, and any ad hoc requests I give them from the Canada Revenue Agency. They also handle all aspects of my bookkeeping, including automation, determining what software to use, classifications, monthly reconciliations, and payroll.

We measure success by returns being filed early and tax savings on the personal and corporate side. I’m very busy, so filing early gives me a lot of peace of mind. I’ve saved tens of thousands of dollars over the years.

SRJ handles everything accounting-related for my business. They do all my monthly bookkeeping, reconcile my bank accounts and credit cards, and manage my accounts payable and receivable. They set me up on a cloud-based system so I can see my financials in real-time, which has been a game-changer.
They prepare my corporate tax returns (T2), my personal returns (T1), and file my HST returns quarterly. They also handle my payroll processing and make sure all the remittances go out on time. At year-end, they prepare my full financial statements and help with any corporate filings I need.
