We were looking to be able to bring in data automatically verse Manual uploads each hour, each day, each week. This was to update product listings on many levels and to delist product that was no longer available.

SpurIT was recommended by Shopify & has built a lot of 5-star Apps. This more than sold us on them being qualified for the job.

They designed, built, programmed, tested, & installed this program on the front end/back end of our web site in record time.

We had worked with the project manager and the developer the entire way through the project. Updates were given weekly and response time was very prompt.

SpurIT under promised and over delivered. They were done early and the system worked as it was designed. We then hired them to do the 2nd phase and now the 3rd phase.

They worked on our overall Online Shopping platform (Shopify) and all enhancements associated to it including both Frontend and Backend. They were involved in constant end to end projects from discovery to implementation. SpurIT assisted our teams in filling gaps for processes involving SDLC.

We have seen direct growth in B2C sales after all project implementations. Numbers over 50% overall B2C sales growth.

The project management was arranged with our project manager and SpurIT's project manager. Our project manager was involved in the intake of requests and demand management. SpurIT's project manager was involved in the delivery of all assets, requirements as well as discovery and solutions. Project Management tools used were Jira and Slack. We streamlined our processes between their team and our team

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their responsiveness is what stood out the most. They also had a strong interest in the success of the company and it was evident during all project planning stages and strategy.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Perhaps more visibility on the QA side of all development. Perhaps sharing direct test logs so that our internal teams can run the same tests.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals for this project was to have the developed app align with my ideas and function seamlessly to promote a easy work experience for the merchants that use this app.

I found them listed on the Shopify experts page. They had already had some of their own apps published on Shopify which was great. Not to mention their great price.

Once I decided to work with SpurIT we had numerous email conversations to discuss the functionality of the app and what it would look like. The amazing people at SpurIT were able to use their past experience and offer me suggestions and answers to questions I wouldn't have even known to ask. There was great communication throughout the whole process. Once the app was functional enough to test I began trying it out for myself. We worked through the kinks very effectively and I am now the proud owner of a amazing Shopify app.

After having multiple conversations with Alex, I was eventually assigned a lead developer named Philip. Us 3 worked together very cohesively throughout the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Immediately after launching the app on Shopify it was recommended for their "New and Noteworthy" section because of it's unique idea. We are still in the early stages of launching the app but we have very high expectations for the apps performance.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was great. Most of it was by email and it was incredibly fast responses. Everyone was always on the same page.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed by their communication skills and past experience with Shopify Apps.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I'm struggling to find any areas for improvement without becoming nit picky. Maybe easier payment methods and more communication over the phone? All I know is I'm very satisfied with working with SpurIT.

We needed a Shopify application that could integrate a retailer's shopify store with our API. SpurIT helped developed the customer facing application and helped us launch on the Shopify App Store.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We put out a bid in the Shopify experts platform. They are the most communicative and helpful partners. They also provided a portfolio of shopify applications that they have launched, which was very helpful to our assessment. Their pricing is also very competitive.

We first started with the discovery phase. We anchored discussions around a shared document. This was helpful to drive consensus around the project's what, why, and how. Once we reached a consensus on the milestones and timeline, they kick started development. They periodically checked in and would demo their work, which was very helpful. It is an ongoing project, since they are maintaining the application. We have since transitioned to an Agile working relationship.

I normally interact with a project manager. I rarely interact with their designer or engineers, which is very helpful. Their project manager is incredibly helpful and attentive, and he is a great communicator.

It was an incredibly complicated product and they did a great job of delivering. Like any large software project, there are unknowns and complications. Their communication style is great, because they are very transparent about progress, complications, and timelines.

The project management is great. We use Slack for chat; Linear for issue tracking; and Google Docs for product and technical requirement documents. They are thorough in their writing which is super helpful.

They aim to do a great job. They are open to feedback and improving, which is why we've established a long-term relationship with them.

Nothing comes to mind right now. They are open to feedback and we are constantly improving our relationship with them.

The direction acted to a migration, from one ecommerce platform supplier to another one to support our growth strategy. This migration has been made possible thanks to SPUR IT, who ran a complete audit before and assisted us along the way on all the issues we faced. 

They also handled all the requested development in order to ensure a seamless transition. This was a complete success. All the deadlines were respected and the migration worked as expected. None of our customers experienced any issues.

We had many talks with several companies and decided to go with SPUR IT. They understood our situation, answered all of our questions and concerns and offered us different options to achieve the migration.

We did a RFP. SPUR IT was among the companies that answered. We had an inaugural meeting, explaining our global situation and the result we wanted to achieve within the time frame. Then we had a second meeting, when they showed us similar assistance they did for other projects. They also got into a detailed action plan and the overall budget.

We worked with a project manager and solution architect. Of course many developers were involved but we were in a constant discussion with our project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I can't share as much data as they are confidential, but since our migration, the overall speedness of our website has doubled, and traffic retention has been increased by 23%.Our users also spend more time on our website, 17% more in average.This is just the beginning as we expect those number to increase in the following months.

We had weekly meeting about the on-going process.We used slack for daily questions, google meet for weekly meetings, JIRA for tickets.

We really appreciated their willingness to understand our situation and provide the best and the most adequate answer. At every moment along the way, they were able to answer our questions or requests in a timely manner. I has the feeling that I was considered, and I really was.

None to my knowledge as it was the first time we faced this project.

We have worked with Spur in the past to do some custom work on their in stock reminders Shopify app.

We hired them to build a few custom pages on an existing theme based on a design we provided theme. They coded the site in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JS.
