I work for a healthcare company and my position is in capability and quality assurance.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spoon?

We were looking to develop online training for investigation management. We didn’t have any formal online training at the company. We used to have face-to-face training sessions with an external supplier which were obviously very costly, and logistically quite difficult as well. We wanted something that was online which people could access when they needed them. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Spoon developed an online training solution for us that is in line with our internal branding. They incorporated different mediums for people who learn in different ways, including videos, podcasts, animations, downloadable infographics, and job aids. They incorporated relevant information in a length of time that made sense for the audience. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with Oskar (Account Manager), Alice (Account Manager), and Shelley (Agency Director).

How did you come to work with Spoon?

I came onto the project midway and I wasn’t involved in the initial bidding process. 

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between £150,000–£200,000 (approximately $189,400–$340,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began back in November 2019, and I got involved in February 2020. The relationship is still ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For quantitative results, it is a little bit too early to tell because of the nature of the content. However, in terms of qualitative results, we have received really positive feedback from people who have been using the training across a number of functions, and geographical locations. 

It is really easily accessible, the content is really interesting and interactive, and there is that balance between the level of detail and not overwhelming with content. The work is very interactive and very creative, and all of the feedback has been really positive.

How did Spoon perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been really efficient on that front. They had a project manager and they put a project plan in place at the start and bi-weekly calls which was really helpful on all fronts. 

The timeline did shift because of COVID-19, so we had to extend the timeline we were initially working towards and they highlighted that very quickly to us. Overall, they have been really good on the project management side.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very creative and have provided really good solutions and ideas.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. If I was looking for something, their flexibility throughout with us as a customer was first class, perhaps they could push back harder with us with our tight timeframes!

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would definitely recommend them - they have been able to bring different ideas to the table and implement them really well to provide a high-quality product that meets the objectives.
