I’m the co-founder of a fintech company. We build software for construction materials suppliers.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Snowhouse Studio?

We had a basic landing page and needed someone to help us build our company website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Snowhouse Studio built our website using Webflow. We gave the team screenshots of our product and the style guide we used to build it. From there, they went through an exercise where they showed us site examples and had us put together a design board with styles that we liked. They used Figma for the web design. Additionally, the team helped with the website copy and created the imagery for the site. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with three folks on Snowhowse Studio’s side: a project manager, a relationship manager, and a developer. 

How did you come to work with Snowhouse Studio?

I found them through Webflow’s list of approved agencies they work with. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March–August 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We were really happy with the end product — Snowhouse Studio did a good job. One of our investors saw the site and thought it was super polished and that it did a great job outlining our product and what it does. The limited early feedback on the site has been great. 

How did Snowhouse Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They did well with project management overall because they did a good job handling issues. The project required adjustments, and they did that quickly to get us back on track. For example, we had to make some personnel adjustments on their side, and they were super willing to do that and handled it well. 

Due to the personnel change and our not having the capacity to focus on the project, the engagement took a bit longer than anticipated. We communicated almost exclusively through Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Snowhouse Studio’s clean and simple design, which was what we were going after; they nailed the directive on the design front. They also did a very good job from a structural perspective because the site is super fast, which is key for SEO. Overall, they built the site well from an infrastructure perspective. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Once we made the personnel switch, they did a really good job. However, their copy was weaker than expected. Even though it was in the project’s scope, we ended up doing a lot more of the marketing copy for the site, which is fine because we know our product better. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise defining who’ll handle what so that it’s clear what’s on each person’s plate. Additionally, I’d suggest ensuring you have time to dedicate to the project. We ran into the issue that we had other priorities, which probably led to delays in the overall project.
