About Smyth Metal Works
Owner James Smyth began welding school in 2013 and instantly fell in love with the trade. Over the last 10 years he has worked in several facets of the welding world, including industrial fabrication, custom shops, and manufacturing.
In 2017, Smyth Metal Works began as a much needed creative outlet while working full time in manufacturing. It also sparked the desire for James to work towards an independently owned workshop.
What started out as a 300 square foot space with only a welder and table, has grown into a fully fledged metal fabrication shop. The shop is proudly versatile, with projects ranging from small to large, repair to new construction, and production to custom builds.
Marrying an appreciation for puzzles and building with a love of creativity and collaborative projects, James enjoys seeing Smyth Metal Works continually grow and work with new people and ideas.
