SMITH & OAKES

Smith & Oakes, Inc. was founded in August of 1981. The Firm was originally conceived and managed by Garry E. Smith, P.E., L.S., who formulated the belief that a satisfied client is a repeat client. This belief, to this day, is the core basis of our operations.  Mr. Al J. Oakes, P.E., L.S., joined the Firm in 1983 and the Firm operated as a sole proprietorship until January 1991 when it was incorporated under the name Smith & Oakes, Engineers/Land Surveyors, P.A.

In 2010, after working with Mr. Oakes for more than a decade, Chris A. Meinen, L.S. and Greg D. Frederick, L.S. restructured under the name Smith & Oakes, Inc.  Since inception, we have continued to grow our reputation as a firm capable of combining the resources and versatility of larger engineering and surveying firms with the smaller firm advantage of personalized service.  Smith & Oakes, Inc. has grown to offer many personalized services in the areas of civil engineering design for private industry and public works facilities, land surveying, construction staking, project management and inspection for both public and private sectors.
