Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Primary work involved building use-cases and user flows for our users. Design work on various useability issues that came up along the way. Mockups were created and a full understanding of application and problem space was required.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Standups via agile process.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Project work was generally done on time. We had a "somewhat" informal process on deliverables and timelines. There was quite a bit of line-of-scrimmage decisions made along the way. The contractor worked well with the team and did a good job understanding our goals and requirements, along the way.
What was your primary form of communication with Slide UX?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were easy to work with, solid results. They do what they say they are going to do.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Slide UX could have done differently?
I think only area i can think of is having more "creative" options around mockups and UI thinking. We worked close together and sometimes the engineers would "steer" the conversation down a certain path with the designer and sometimes i felt like it didn't allow as much creative freedom as one would like.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of AI Empowered Mom, a platform and community helping moms and caregivers adopt AI to reduce the mental load of parenthood.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Slide UX?
We needed help with the UX design of our AI product for families.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Slide UX has designed the UX and registration flow of our product.
We began a short four-week engagement to design the UX and registration flow. I did the user research myself, and Slide UX built upon the research I had conducted and used it to design the user experience.
One of the suggestions they've made has been to create a quiz that would be fun for moms and caregivers who were signing up to provide information about their families. Slide UX helped me find the right balance between getting enough information to make a customized AI tool and not too much so that we would lose people in the flow. They also helped me find the right place in the user registration process to insert that.
Slide UX built the designs in Figma, which made it seamless to hand off to my development team. At my request, they used AI to generate some of the imagery and feed their processes. They also used Adobe Firefly for the image generation.
They’ve handed off the designs, and they’re in development with my offshore team. We’re going to put the MVP into the market and get feedback. I look forward to working with Slide UX again on additional features that we would like to add.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact is Megan, Senior Director. She brought in an experienced UX designer named Frater, the Senior Product Designer. Frater did most of the heavy lifting on the design work. Erin, the Founder & CEO, and Tom, Senior Product Designer, both provided insight early in the process.
How did you come to work with Slide UX?
Erin is a member of my personal network. I knew her in college. Initially, I reached out to them and got a bid for designing the UX and registration. I had to fundraise, and once I had the money, I came back to them. I talked to a couple of other companies and got bids from them, including offshore companies. However, Slide UX seemed to understand the market, my point of view, and my product, so I selected them based on fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $16,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project was completed on time, on budget, and exceeded my quality expectations. The designs have received positive feedback. I’ve been able to take the screens and share them with potential customers for feedback. Slide UX has been able to update the designs in real time.
How did Slide UX perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management was seamless. Megan managed the project, and it was so easy for me. I knew what to expect and when to expect it. The team had to navigate many different time zones to accommodate folks in India, Pakistan, and the US. We were able to find convenient times to meet, and scheduling was easy. They met all of their milestones, so the project management was excellent.
We communicated via Slack, email, and on our demo and update calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What impressed me the most was how well they understood my product and brand. It felt like they were part of my team, not like I was working with an outside vendor. They understood what I was working on and trying to build.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m not a Slack person, so sometimes I would miss their messages. The only thing I could think of for improvement was asking how I wanted to communicate. I would have preferred email or text messages. If they want to use Slack, that’s fine; it just takes me longer to respond.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t hesitate to work with them. It’s a wonderful team, and you’ll enjoy working with them. Let them know your perspective, but give them a bit of creative freedom. Once they understand what you’re trying to build, they’ll make it look and feel so much better than you could have imagined.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Slide UX conducted user research to determine needs of a parent and student audience relative to our existing products, which currently serve educators and administrators. The research included recruitment, interviews, synthesis of findings, and competitor research.
Then, the Slide UX team worked with us to best utilize their remaining time. They did this by wireframing a version of our platform that would best serve this user group, and providing a gap analysis between that wireframe and our existing product. They also helped design a user flow for a new print feature for our original audience that could help them serve the parent/student audience.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The deliverables we received are immediately helpful for two reasons: one is to produce evidence of the user research conducted and use the findings to help our funding partners more responsibly develop our joint roadmap. The other is to lay the foundation for design of features that will come later this year. Both purposes were very well served by this engagement.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Slide UX's project management was stellar. Weekly updates were succinct and clear. Progress was evident at all stages, and I felt like I could depend on their organization to lead the work. It's rare to feel "hands-off" yet still get productive output like this.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I appreciated Slide UX's organization and project management. I also found them very helpful with their willingness to pivot scope and deliverables to meet our needs, rather than just following the original plan into a dead end. Lastly, they are a very kind and intelligent group of folks.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Slide UX could have done differently?
It is difficult to think of areas for growth. If our design component of the project had been deeper, I would've wanted more engagement on fitting into our product's existing design system -- but that was not to be expected with the shallow level of wireframing they were scoped to do.

Website Refresh
The client sought to refresh their website, to improve the site’s navigation and structure, look and feel, and the flow of high priority pages and utilities. As part of this effort, the client sought to create UX strategy recommendations and wireframes intended to bolster the achievement of marketing objectives while amplifying overall user satisfaction and engagement levels.
Deliverables Include:
- Sitemap - Up to 20 wireframes
UX Testing
As part of the website redesign effort, Sherry Matthews Group and Slide UX worked with the client to create two new prototypes (one desktop, one mobile). The wireframes that made up the prototypes were based on recommendations from prior research efforts, stakeholder interviews, web analytics and UX best practices. The client sought to test the usability of the prototype prior to entering the design and development phase of the website.
Deliverables Include:
- Study Plan - User Testing Recruitment for ten participants - Moderation of ten 1-on-1 usability sessions (2 rounds) - Final report
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Phase 1 of the project involved creation of wireframe prototypes that were then tested with real potential users in phase 2. The ability to see users navigate the prototypes on mobile and desktop confirmed specific UX updates to the client's site.
Outcomes of user testing included:
Increased exposure to all services.
Positioned important content, like alerts, in context.
Developed Guides to summarize common user needs and questions.
Simplified navigation to direct users to appropriate site sections.
Redesigned the site footer to facilitate users' ability to find key info.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
During phase 1 of the project, despite being on time, the deliverables often needed to be reworked after initial delivery, sometimes several times. Slide UX was open to feedback and listened to our project needs when making revisions. The client was a public transportation provider, so the needs of the website were unique due to the complicated nature of public transit and the specific requirements of accessibility.
Phase 2 (user testing) ran smoothly. Slide was able to recruit and test all users within a short window of time.

Slide UX project management was always on top of things and willing to adapt to the project's needs. Slide UX also utilized a unique set of tools to communicate and deliver project items. This helped ease communication between the teams.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Slide UX could have done differently?
Moderating the UX testing sessions in phase 2 could have been stronger. Often participants were primed for answers or were not left very long to figure things out on their own. While observing, it felt as if users were still being guided through the site and weren't exploring enough.

I am a Director of Product Management responsible for Tigera's commercial product offerings.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Slide UX?
We launched a new SaaS service and product-led growth initiative and wanted to leverage Slide UX's expertise to improve the UX of our product, make specific workflows more intuitive and easy to understand, and help conceptualize a new visual design that is minimal, modern, and congruent with other best-in-class tools that are in use by our target personas.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Our VP of Product & BD had worked with Slide UX at a prior company. We also selected Slide UX based on the quality of the team and the structured approach they brought to the project.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Slide UX has an existing structure and proven approach to their engagements with clients. At a high-level, this is divided into Clarify, Concept, and Calibrate Phases. The Clarify phase is mostly focused on understanding the needs of the project, our business, user personas, and the specific UX workflows we would like to enable or improve. The Concept phase is about prototyping new designs and and iterating and different approaches to workflows identified in the prior phase. Calibrate is mostly focused on user testing and gathering feedback on prototypes to refine designs and finalize the overall approach.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Anywhere from 3 to 6 team members from Slide UX, depending on the phase of the project. Roles included UX, visual design, project management, and user research.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We were very pleased with the deliverables and outcomes from our initial engagement with Slide UX, and we've since hired them on retainer to provide guidance during our implementation phase. The new UI and UX has received a lot positive feedback from our team internally and customers, and the visual design does a great job in strengthening our brand and establishing a more modern look and feel.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Collaboration between the teams was fantastic. There were regular weekly meetings in addition to a shared Slack channel. Tools like Miro, Figma, and Asana to facilitate the work we did together, track progress on tasks, and capture deliverables.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team and the people at Slide UX is what makes them unique and and such a pleasure to work with. Not only do they have experienced UX chops, but they also demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for ramping up on a very technical domain. Could not recommend them more highly.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No.

SolarWinds is in the initial stages of migrating to a headless CMS, transitioning from Sitecore to Contentstack. In the short term, we need strategic guidance. Our goal is to realign the user journey of the SolarWinds site with the evolved solutions- and capability-forward portfolio directing to the new all-in-one platform. In the end, you want the site to have a modern, innovative, and consistent visual treatment that stands above and apart from the competition.
Considering SEO and accessibility are essential as well. The ideal UX partner will provide expert strategic guidance and bring an innovative vision. In addition to page types with clearly specified definitions, we’ll also clearly establish the purpose and intent at the component level.
We’ll need to work closely with our dev team to understand the intricacies of the CMS implementation, particularly any design constraints. We would also like our internal UX team to have the opportunity to shadow an experienced, senior-level UX team. Services provided include a variety of User Experience and User Interface Design consultation services, including but not limited to:
Discovery Workshops
UX Audits
Competitive Analyses
User Interviews
Product Maps or User Flows 1
Design Concepts
UI Designs
Rapid Prototyping
Usability Testing
Style Guides or Design Systems
Collaborating closely with engineers to answer questions and address gaps prior to and during development
Reviewing coded experience pre- and post-deployment to ensure designs were built to spec
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Weekly meetings
Miro boards
Prototypes
Weekly status reports emailed
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The project management for this extensive work has been exceptional:
Every deadline has been met without fail, and even when priorities shifted, the team adapted seamlessly.
They have been highly attentive to our needs.
In instances of minor misunderstandings, they were proactive in asking clarifying questions to ensure we were fully aligned and on track.
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with how smoothly our weekly meetings go, especially considering the complexity of this project.
Our stakeholders have been highly emotional and often negative, but the SlideUX team has remained calm, understanding, and reassuring throughout.
Their ability to truly grasp our requirements, even in challenging situations, has helped rebuild trust with our stakeholders.
Additionally, their quick turnaround on visual representations after receiving our requirements has allowed us to maintain momentum and keep the project moving forward.
What was your primary form of communication with Slide UX?
Virtual Meeting
Email or Messaging App
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Before partnering with SlideUX, we had already worked with two other companies on this same project over a span of two years, but we saw no progress. Our stakeholders were misaligned on strategy, and previous companies were unable to help us resolve these differences, which stalled any efforts to redesign our website or user journey.
When SlideUX joined, they quickly applied their interview techniques to not only drive alignment on strategy but also provided valuable written documentation based on their findings. No other company had been able to help us unite our stakeholders. What felt like an impossible task was handled seamlessly by SlideUX, and we’ve made significant progress as a result.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Slide UX could have done differently?
I wish I had some thoughtful and constructive feedback to offer for improvement, but honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing! Slide UX has accomplished what no other company could and working with them has been an absolute joy!

The primary objective was to review and audit and existing software product from a user experience and user interface design perspective. Taking the product through every user journey and using the product in a variety of settings.
Key deliverables included:
a detailed report of key findings
feedback on each product feature within the context of each different user persona
their respective, expected journey of using the software product.

Several UX and UI improvements were identified, with great suggested solution(s) that directly led to increased usage and positive experience with the sofware product. In addition, many of the existing features and UI/UX of that app were confirmed as being positive and good solutions which allowed us to feel confident in the existing implementation and not continue to spend additional time and money iterating through alternative solutions.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Our team is looking to launch a beta version of their new AI-driven platform. They are looking for a UX partner to make the experience simple & easy to use, mirror what they teach in their programs, and provide high-quality outputs that are useful for their students.
Slide UX will take the time to understand the core business through stakeholder workshopping, a demo + review of the existing concept product created internally, and an assessment of any research and insights they have gathered to date. We will then collaborate with the team to prioritize critical features required for your initial launch. Slide UX will then map out the future state of the product, including screens, flows and navigation.
From there, we will recommend key screens to wireframe that will result in the optimal amount of reusable components that can be used towards other screens in the experience. Slide UX would work very closely and collaboratively with us, including regular check-ins and delivery of daily status updates. Are there any areas for improvement or something Slide UX could have done differently?
They did a great job, but if I had to nitpik, just asking more questions to understand our audience and publishing process better.
