SlickCloud was engaged to set up and create Terraform code for our existing environment on AWS. The scope included designing a modular and scalable infrastructure using Terraform, automating the provisioning of AWS resources, and implementing security and cost optimization best practices. A key deliverable was a streamlined and automated infrastructure setup for efficient resource management.

The project demonstrated significant progress and success through several measurable outcomes. Firstly, the Terraform code provided by SlickCloud allowed us to provision and manage AWS resources efficiently, reducing deployment time by up to 70%. 

Secondly, the automated infrastructure adhered to best practices, leading to improved security and cost savings of approximately 30% on AWS expenses. Lastly, the project substantially reduced manual errors, resulting in enhanced system reliability and stability.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us the most about SlickCloud was their deep expertise in Terraform and AWS. Their team seamlessly integrated with ours, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our specific requirements. Their tailor-made approach to the project set them apart from other providers, resulting in a solution that precisely matched our needs.

Are there any areas for improvement or something SlickCloud could have done differently?

While SlickCloud's overall performance was highly satisfactory, there were a couple of areas where they could have improved. Offering more comprehensive documentation for the Terraform code and infrastructure setup would have been valuable for future reference and troubleshooting. Additionally, although minor, there were occasional instances of communication gaps between their team members, which could be further streamlined to ensure even greater efficiency.

I am founder of a Data company that provides and build data models, provides data modernization and data analysis and stratego for companies.

For what projects/services did your company hire SlickCloud?

SlickCloud has moved our infrastructure from AWS to Google Cloud provider. They moved our infrastructure without any downtime.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have found SlickCloud in the Google Partners directory, our main factor was to find young company with fair and low rates. Moreover we needed company that has Google-certified engineers in the team.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Firstly they took a look for our current infrastructure in AWS and terraform code. After that they established the time and budget required for the project as well as steps and plan for the migration. For us it was critical to do the migration without any downtime, so they also planned the work and steps to do this migration wihout any downtimes. Moreover they provide us costs table - how the costs will be different on Google Cloud compering to AWS setup.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

They were 3 people/engineers (Cloud Engineers) from SlickCloud. 1 Senior, 1 Junior and 1 Mid Engineer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our infrastructure has been sucessfully migrated from AWS to Google Cloud with no downtime. The migration took only 3 weeks. The goal has been reached.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have setup Google Chat for the fluent communications between our teams. Communications was pretty well, on the final migration day and few days after they were totally available 24 hours per day to support us with the Google Cloud.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

THey have certified engineers on the board that can help and suggest better use of Google Cloud products. For us that was crucial thing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Actually no, we were totally happy with their services.
