For what projects/services did your company hire Skillen & Co., and what were your goals?

One of our clients is the managing director of a financial management firm. He was looking to develop his personal brand and knew video would be a key component. We needed a videographer to help bring his personality to life while providing high quality lighting / audio and overall video quality.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were referred to Nathan at Skillen & Co from a mutual colleague who has worked with him in the past. The combination of his budget range, quality of past work and friendliness were the deciding factors.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We began with discovery sessions with Nathan directly, outlining the project and the overall goals of where the video comes in. We didnt provide any sort of scripting or strict direction/storyboard -- instead, we turned to him to help us develop it as part of his services. We were impressed by how he handled himself with our client when he began working with him directly. The shoot day was very smooth and we were impressed with the end product.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with Nathan directly. He was extremely open to feedback and was punctual and timely with our requests when we had them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This social media campaign has just begun so unfortunately no key statistics to show. Ultimately, our client is happy, which makes us happy.

Nathan used frame.io for online reviewing and commenting on the video which worked well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were most impressed by their story development preparation. We've worked with videographers in the past which knew their cameras and gear, but needed more direction and storyboarding. Nathan was able to take that requirement off our hands.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing at this time.
