Before working together, the agency conducted an audit to identify areas for improvement. They then suggested improvement measures. Skalski Growth ran comprehensive campaigns for us, taking into account the creation of graphics, content, ladning pages, plugging in conversion tracking and ongoing campaign optimization.

The solutions implemented by the agency allowed us to attract interested customers, a significant number of whom made a purchase.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The campaign ended in September and was a huge success. We managed to acquire about 200 leads interested in participating in the conference. The return on ad spend was very satisfying. This helped to convince the management board that we should invest in paid channels during future editions of the conference.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've recently got a new property, and we had more rooms to fill. We hired Skalski Growth to conduct market and competitive research and develop and implement a digital strategy based on their research. This involved analyzing our current sales systems and sales funnels, providing suggestions for improvement, and looking for more cost-effective ways to generate more leads.

Aside from that, they’ve set up a dashboard on Google Data Studio for us. They’re also responsible for running Facebook and Instagram ads and managing our campaigns.

Skalski Growth brought our cost per click from €30 (Approximately $30 USD) down to €8 (Approximately $8 USD), at its lowest. They’ve also brought our cost per lead down by 75%.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Everything was delivered in a timely fashion, and all the engagements were professional and the deliverables were high end. Some of the things that stood out were:

1. the analytics setup, link structure recommendations, and web analytics dashboard that is now allowing us to track conversion rates and determine what marketing endeavors work and what does not
2. The keyword analysis and content plan so that we know where to focus our writing efforts that is most efficient and beneficial to increase our exposure on Google
3. Training on how to use SEO Surfer in order to improve the SEO of our current and future articles
4. Email marketing automation in order to increase conversion of current email subscribers and upsell courses to those already involved

We had an initial meeting to discuss the need and current situation, then a couple of strategy sessions in order to determine the next steps. Once those were agreed on we had a meeting after each of the main deliverables in order to review the work done and determine the next steps. There was also a training session to learn how we could use existing tools and resources in order to conduct some of our own SEO efforts.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were a one-stop shop for all digital marketing needs and they are really focused on growth marketing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that comes to mind. Our online education area is very niche and they've done a great job researching our needs and competition.

We met with Skalski Growth on a series of workshops designed to help us craft our marketing strategy. First they did an in-depth interview to get to know our product, resources, and marketing history. Then we moved on to some theory - they presented us with 19 different traction channels with examples how they could be used in our case. After that we scheduled a brainstorming session, where both parties came up with ideas for use of these channels, which we then rated based on difficulty and possible impact. We finalised the workshops with a backlog of marketing tactics - quick wins and long-term processes we have already started to implement

Skalski Growth helped us to evaluate and prioritise marketing activities we could use to promote our app. They pointed us towards Google Grant, which we managed to acquire. This allowed us to quickly launch PPC campaigns for our app and start to gain new users.

We met online for the workshops and used email to communicate in the meantime. This setup proved to be very effective for us.

The commitment was really high. We were given advice which was tailored for us. Also their willing to share their knowledge was great.

With Skalski Growth’s help in implementing the strategy they have prepared for us, we were able to increase the number of conversions from our website by 78% in general, and by 92% from paid search.

We meet every two weeks to summarize marketing results and use email to communicate in the meantime. They are very responsive and always ready to help, even with non-standard requests.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a true understanding of how to boost our marketing performance, and they work hard to understand the client, their product, the sales cycle, and use this knowledge to prepare a tailored strategy to the needs of the client. This creates a great, long-term cooperation.

First, they learnt about our offering, website and plans. Next, they performed keyword research. After grouping and prioritizing the keywords, they recommended a new website structure which will allow us to drive more traffic and conversions from Google. Skalski Growth was recommended to us by one of our consultants, who had an opportunity to work with them in the past. After the initial call, hearing the plan of possible cooperation based on a data-driven approach to inbound marketing & strong focus on analysis - planning, we decided to go with the Skalski family.

Our cooperation started with an audit. At the first meeting, Skalski Growth presented us with project steps and did a thorough interview to better understand our company & our current marketing strategy. During the audit, we met in weekly intervals, 4 times in total. In each meeting, they delivered an in-depth review of each of our marketing channels with actionable insights. This allowed us to identify which channels have potential and what changes we could implement to make better use of them.

Next, we moved onto market research. Skalski Growth performed comprehensive competition research to identify best practices for our industry and see how we position against other companies in this space in terms of digital marketing. They also investigated for us different geographies in terms of traffic potential, target audience size, and market saturation.

Using insights from these researches combined with the audit, they were able to develop a marketing strategy focused on channels and actions most likely to deliver results. Right now we are working together on implementing the strategy.

After 6 weeks of cooperation, we received a full audit of our marketing channels and inbound marketing strategy for this year. Each part of the project was thoroughly documented. We got access to all documents presented at meetings, including source data used to prepare them.

We hired Skalski Growth to help us promote our app through paid ads. Our main goal was to lower Cost Per Installation and achieve positive ROI from paid ads.

SOLUTION

How did you select Skalski Growth and what were the deciding factors?

We already knew Skalski Growth as we used to work together with Wojtek Skalski (CEO) on previous projects.

The goal of this project was to build a PPC acquisition campaign for the US market that would deliver positive ROI. The team prepared an action plan, recommendations regarding channels and their setup, as well as multiple versions of creatives including video, images and text.

The very first results after launching the campaigns weren't satisfactory - the Cost Per Installation was higher than the target. We tried with different campaign types, but this didn't work either. Together with the SkalskI Growth team we decided to take a step back and look into the app user data from different countries and their conversion rate.

It turned out that the USA is not the only market worth exploring. We identified new markets with conversion potential and low CPC for related keywords and we started testing them. This approach worked, and soon we started acquiring new users at good CPI. In the meantime I have improved conversion in the product. Thanks to that, the also CPI in the US became acceptable and started bringing positive ROI.

After improving in-app conversion rate we were able to achieve positive ROI for the US market. We also found new markets with promising installation costs (it’s worth noting that exploring other geographies was out of the initial project scope, but the team took this extra effort to deliver results).

They updated us on a weekly basis on what's going on in the project. In case of questions they provided answers quickly. All the materials have been collected in a shared drive so that they can be used in the future.

CEO of Skalski Growth responded to our post on Linkedin, when we were looking for a Head of Growth.

The project started quickly. We have been noticing a drop in trial conversion rate for the past few months, so the first thing they did was to rebuild our trial onboarding campaign and we noticed 3-4 fold growth in trial conversion rate.

After the crisis was averted, we moved to more strategic tasks - they analyzed our website traffic, did market research and proposed areas for improvement. hey also collected and organized all marketing initiatives and ideas we would like to tackle. We also had a series of workshops that really helped us improve our messaging and create value propositions for different use cases.

In terms of notable projects during our cooperation so far, they helped us modernize our brand (new logo and website), map out and optimize user journey in multiple touch-points (website, trial, onboarding, renewals), create content for the website, carry out email campaigns, and gather more reviews online.

Right now Skalski Growth is responsible, among others, for our email marketing, messaging, SEO, further website development, and establishing partnerships.

Since we started our cooperation a lot has changed. We have rebranded with a brand new logo and website, made a switch towards the Enterprise market, which increased our revenue significantly, as well as improved user journey in key touch points. We increased average transaction x2 and grew 80% YoY for the past 2 years.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is very effective. I really like their agile approach with weekly plans and update meetings. They keep track of new ideas and projects in progress and make sure that everything happens in a timely manner. A lot of our marketing efforts (and not only) can be fully outsourced to Skalski team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

That we were very quickly able to treat them as part of Dataedo. That they are agile and result oriented. That they provide a holistic view on growth. That they too, feel like part of Dataedo and genuinely help us grow as it was their business.

Our goal is to help our corporate partners with their innovative challenges, by identifying the best startups to support them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

What we do with Skalski Growth is digital marketing to recruit startups for our corporate partners. We really need to be aware of how to communicate and evaluate our campaigns, so we wanted their expertise. What they basically do is design a strategy to reach startups in targeted countries, identify the right channels for these campaigns such as email and social media, and figure out how much we should spend on them — Our goal is to get more startups to our program that can easily match the corporate challenges. 

Apart from that, they’ve also reworked our website, and they’ve been matching the challenges of the startups who are applying. In addition, they’ve also been helping us with strategies to identify our corporate partners using LinkedIn. They know how to build these marketing funnels to reach people, so our next project with them is to build the right product to attract corporations.

For the channels of our campaigns, they changed the flow and the traffic of our CRM, and they’ve been using this tool called Metadata to help track data and information accurately. The content that we write for our corporate partners is done in-house, and Skalski Growth is in charge of the graphic design aspect.

Our partners are happy that they’re growing and getting the right startups to help them.

How did Skalski Growth perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well — whatever they say, they get done. They’re very young and well-versed in all the technology tools, as well as building structures, preparing strategies, and creating reports.

We typically use Basecamp to manage our projects, and we communicate through email, WhatsApp, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with how they’re very effective and strategic. They’ve worked hard on a lot of projects, and we also like that they’re a very motivated team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have open communication about how we can get better startups, and they’re very productive. There’s always room for improvement, but I’m generally happy and if there is a problem, we’ll always solve it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The client should always know what problems they need to address. While they might be very good digital marketers who understand SEO and SEM, they’re not going to be the people who’d be doing the creative work. You really have to understand your problem, and understand what Skalski Growth is good at.
