I’m the founder of EverlyJames, a self-exploration brand.

What challenge were you trying to address with SimplyBe. Agency?

I hired SimplyBe. Agency to help me create my personal brand as the founder of a company. The goal of their consulting is to position me as a leader in my field.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started with a half-day session of asking questions to get to know me. After learning about my business, they gave me a lot of detailed information tailored to my brand using their trademarked formula. 

They described who I am from a branding perspective, what I should focus on as an expert, and how I can get my message out there. They gave me material talking points and coached me through each to prepare me for talking to the press.

They provided me with a 50-page booklet containing a customized framework for my brand. 

The booklet gave me some content and messaging guidance to start with. The framework also included information on what letters I should send out, what social media platforms I should use, how my social media profiles should look, and how frequently I should post on those platforms. Their consultation has been creative and full of guidance on what resources I should use. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve spoken to an account manager and met with two people to discuss my brand. I’ve had a main point of contact with SimplyBe. Agency that I can call to ask any questions I have or discuss things further.

How did you come to work with SimplyBe. Agency?

I was looking for a branding firm for my personal brand, and SimplyBe. Agency was on my shortlist. My neighbor mentioned this friendly previous neighbor had started her own branding agency — that turned out to be SimplyBe. Agency’s founder. She’s part of the Chicago networking scene, which I’m very involved with, so I was familiar with her name. 

I attended a webinar that the founder of SimplyBe. Agency hosted to talk about her process and the way that she works. I decided to call her, and I attended her weekly webinar series in May 2021. I learned a lot about SimplyBe. Agency. I liked their philosophy and the way they worked with people. 

SimplyBe. Agency empowers women, which is a cause that I’m also passionate about. They’re highly engaged and open to listening. They really get to know their clients. They also sent out a Christmas gift — it was a book featuring powerful women, and they highlighted me in their book as an entrepreneur.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve invested $8,000 with SimplyBe. Agency.

What is the status of this engagement?

My engagement with SimplyBe. Agency began in July 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

SimplyBe. Agency has really taught me to hone in on who I am and what I bring to the table. That’s given me confidence, which is important as I’m starting a new business. SimplyBe. Agency has exceeded my expectations.

How did SimplyBe. Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Working with SimplyBe. Agency has been a very streamlined experience. I know exactly who to contact with any questions. We communicate via email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been impressed with SimplyBe. Agency’s ability to show that they don’t just say that they’re interested in you, they truly are interested in you — they show compassion.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of any areas that SimplyBe. Agency could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When you meet with SimplyBe. Agency, be as open and honest as possible about where you are with your branding. Have an idea of who you think you are so you can start the discussion. Don’t hesitate to be as vulnerable as you can.
