I work for an educational publishing company, and I create courses and curriculum for higher education.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Throughout our engagement, SilkWeb has helped us set up learning management system courses and evolve courses where we combine content and different digital products into one cohesive course that fits all parameters.

Their instructional designs take into account everybody’s outcomes, the hours that the students need to work, and all of the different benchmarks involved in the measurement of a successful course.

What is the team composition?

I work with 3–5 people from SilkWeb, depending on how many different projects I sent them at once. I’m usually in touch with Michael (COO).

How did you come to work with SilkWeb Consulting & Development LLC?

I came into my current company six years ago, and they had used SilkWeb in the past. I worked with them for one project and liked what they did, so I kept calling them. Now, they’re my go-to company for learning management projects.

How much have you invested with them?

Only this year, we’ve spent around $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them around the summer of 2015, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve retained all of the business from the courses that SilkWeb has worked on, and I’ve got new business as a result because they’re willing to do POCs for me. SilkWeb has a full understanding of educational content. They know how courses should be set up, and they do it fast and accurately, so we often call them.

How did SilkWeb Consulting & Development LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

SilkWeb’s project management is excellent. They have a database where I can check on projects on my own. I’m usually in touch with Michael every two weeks, but we also have regular calls with customers when we’re working on their projects. Those calls are set up either weekly or biweekly until we finish the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SilkWeb’s speed and understanding of education are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Every project we do is different, but they’ve managed to deliver whatever we’ve needed.

Website developed exactly as promised within the agreed timeline. Videos turned out better than we ever expected. SEO continues to bring us a steady stream of leads. Their work has paid for itself.
