We have a relatively informal style of communication. Do a lot by phone, WhatsApp, email, etc.

SHORE teams convinced me to hire people abroad (something I've never done before) and how to do that. And the end result is that I'm really happy I took their advice of hiring overseas, as it gave me access to highly qualified professionals.

We came to SHORE teams with an urgent need for a JAVA & iOS team. The current recruitment and on-boarding capacities in the countries we are in didn’t allow us to grow fast enough to meet our strategic development objectives. My goal was to hire 7 iOS & 3 Java developers. Experienced with iOS development (Swift, Realm databases, Reactive programming, RxSwift) or Java development (JEE or Spring framework).

We preferred to work in a similar time zone and to experience minor cultural differences. Therefore Asia wasn’t an option for us. Our preference went to Europe.

The network SHORE teams have and are able to tap into. In this case I only needed one developer, but even if I'd need 50+, they'd be easily able to help me.

Rates are slightly higher than hiring freelancers from the same country. However, the approach they take to work with development agencies (having developers on they payroll) takes away a lot of risk and hassle.

Before we knew the proposed partners we were a bit reluctant about doing nearshore development. We were hesitating on potential bad teamwork. However, SHORE teams understood our doubts, requirements and wishes and found the most suitable partners for us. They were truely transparent during the process. Which gave us the confidence to make the (right) choice.
