I’m the founder of Topbeat, a global online music school to teach musical instruments.

What challenge were you trying to address with Shellspace?

We wanted someone to create our branding and packaging design. It needed to be completed in a month.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Shellspace designed our logo and entire design palette, including our packaging materials, brochures, templates, visiting cards, and other collaterals. They also did user research and were responsible for putting it all in the proper colors that could create a more emotional attachment to the consumer.

To jumpstart the project, we had a long meeting to understand what kind of consumers and purpose we had. It was a design workshop with us to understand the requirements in detail.

We spent $4,000 with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of work was really good, and they delivered everything we asked for.

How did Shellspace perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was good; they delivered within deadlines and were responsive. Regarding tools, we used email and Google Drive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understood our requirements and what we wanted; their team learned about our consumers to develop good brand guidelines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on their cost.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Negotiate with them because they are costly. Other providers might be cheaper, but Shellspace is cost-effective.
