They delivered a complete rebrand, including a new website, and have since executed impactful content marketing campaigns across internal and external channels. Serotonin are fantastic at what they do. Our account manager, Dan, is extremely responsive and alongside Jack, Serotonin's Head of Search, they make a fantastic team - very knowledgeble in all areas.

Our account had a lot of historical data, but was plauged with errors from an old agency and Serotonin were able to establish the strong points of the existing account, build on this and fix/improve areas where we were underperforming.

We've worked with Serotonin for several years across many projects and couldn't recommend them higher!

Nothing that springs to mind - the onboarding was seamless and they always go over and beyond to support us where possible.

Monthly reports are always on time and feel like we pack a lot in during our virtual meetings, but they also repsond to requests if I need them too, whether it's demographic data on new channels we're considering, optimal times which they send to us each week for posting or how we can utilise a trend.

Due to a small internal team, Serotonin have come onboard as an extension to our marketing team, providing expertise across all of our Paid Media channels. 

Following a full audit across our channels in 2024, Serotonin provided us with a robust Paid Media strategy which included Paid Social across META, Google Adwords, and Demand Generation. 

As we are a small business and a charity, Serotonin quickly understood our need for a multi-channel approach and were able to think creatively about ways in which a limited budget could be best spent. Alongside a realistic yet promising forecast, we were provided with very detailed creative briefs to ensure best performance on the platforms whilst also being relevant to our target audiences. 

Serotonin provide ongoing weekly reports and regular opportunities to regroup and optimise our campaigns based on the performance, and current media landscape.

Since our campaigns began, we've worked closely to look at new opportunities and ways of generating conversions as well as brand awareness, and as it stands, we are on track to surpass our 2025 targets.

There is never a time when we feel as though we are being pushed or pressured to go beyond what is feasibly possible for an organisation of our size - decisions are made within our partnership, which is extremely important to us.

I’m the marketing director of Bella Italia, a casual dining Italian restaurant across the UK.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Serotonin?

We needed to gain mass awareness of our brand and campaign, get guests to consider our brand among competitors, and show off the creative in an engaging manner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Serotonin handled all of our paid media, including paid social media advertising, out-of-home (OOH), radio, and programmatic display. The team had to stay within budget while delivering increased sales across the restaurants, increased booking numbers, and driving consideration of the brand over time.

What is the team composition?

We mainly spoke with three teammates throughout the project, who remained committed throughout.

How did you come to work with Serotonin?

Someone referred Serotonin to us. They responded brilliantly to our original brief with enthusiasm, expertise, and a real focus on the objectives alongside consideration of how best to stretch our budget and achieve our business goals all in one. The team got the balance of explaining enough about the technical side to prove their knowledge while keeping it structured around how they would solve the problem beyond the detail that kept us engaged.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Serotonin in March 2024, and the ads went live in June 2024. The project is coming to an end in its current guise for stage one over the next few weeks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Serotonin stayed on budget and gained us more cut-through for our size and budget than expected. The team also drove quicker bookings and returns from the ads than expected, with lower cost per bookings and lower cost per clicks than forecasted. We also saw higher levels of traffic. We measured the success through stats from Meta advertising, Google Analytics, internal sales financials, and BrandVue third-party feedback.

How did Serotonin perform from a project management standpoint?

Serotonin was very in control and proactive, with regular updates and data presented frequently to keep us informed. The team answered any questions and helped make the complex simple through their explanations. They delivered ahead of time and were very receptive to ideas and changes along the way.

We initially met in person for the pitch and setup. Then, we used Microsoft Teams for weekly check-ins, emails, and shared spreadsheets for ad hoc information sharing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Serotonin genuinely felt part of our own team and was always prompt in getting any ad hoc data requests over. They couldn’t be more helpful and positive about the work together.
