Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a partner at a commercial real estate company; it’s my own LLC. I’m also the director of sales and new acquisitions at an IT management company.

What challenge were you trying to address with The Seltzer Group?

I hired Seltzer for the insurance needs of my commercial real estate company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our building’s cost is around $4 million, and Seltzer is covering the entirety of the liability of the building. The insurance is under my control, but they take care of its coverage. Personally, they also cover my automobile and homeowner insurance.

What is the team composition?

I work with Rob (Senior VP & Director of Business Development), who’s also my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with The Seltzer Group?

I met Rob during my days in the banking industry. He was in the same building that I was in, and we got to know each other from there.

How much have you invested with them?

I invest about $6,500 a year for their services. In total, I’ve spent around $37,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Knock on wood — I haven’t had any issues with their services; I haven’t had to make any claims.

How did The Seltzer Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has been done upfront, so there isn’t any project management needed. However, when I put together a proposal, he’s spot-on in coming up with numbers and appraisals. To communicate, we like to meet and talk, though we also use emails.
