I'm the founder of Glowby Lighting, a company that manufactures battery-powered lightbulbs for places without power.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire The Scale Up Lab to accomplish for your business?

We hired The Scale Up Lab to create assets for paid ads on Instagram and Facebook. These ads would serve as a Kickstarter pre-launch campaign to determine and gain data on early consumer traction and customer validation.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The Scale Up Lab provided a script and specified the images they wanted me to film. They created a founder video from my raw footage and about 50 still image creatives for my ad. The team used these creatives to test which messages resulted in the most customer engagement. After the six-week test, they provided a report on how my product compared to other Kickstarter pre-launch campaigns. They also delivered financial reports on the amount of money they believed I would need to invest to create a successful campaign.The Scale Up Lab handled everything except for the photography.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Scale Up Lab created a very successful campaign by objective measures. My cost per lead averaged $1.33 compared to the benchmark expectations of other Kickstarter pre-launch campaigns of $3–$5 per lead. Some of The Scale Up Lab's advertisements were shared over 100 times. We were extremely impressed by their work and the results. We generated almost 2,000 leads during the six-week campaign. I have used this data to share expected demand with investors.

How did The Scale Up Lab perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time. We communicated via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with how well they understood Meta algorithms, how to optimize winning ads, the email funnels they set up, and their creative messaging and visual advertisements.
