What challenge were you trying to address with Salted Social?

We’ve been manufacturing our products exclusively to the Indian market, so we had a plan on scaling our business to reach potential customers abroad, such as Germany and the US.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Salted Social provided us with their digital marketing services, specifically social media marketing. Initially, we created a LinkedIn account to observe the market. After that, we’ll then link our LinkedIn account to the website we've yet to develop, so that people looking at our profile will be sent to the website where they will know more about our company.

What is the team composition?

We only worked with Abishek (Founder).

How did you come to work with Salted Social?

I was searching for ways to market my business better when I came across their company. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–July 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

As of now, we can’t share any quantitative metrics. However, once the website is finished, we’ll probably have more data to share.

How did Salted Social perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly used email, Google Meet, and Facebook Messenger to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing that I really liked about them is that they gave me the vision to achieve a decent digital presence.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’ve only worked together for a short time, so I don’t have anything to say in terms of what they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

To get the best out of the engagement, I would suggest giving them your point of view first. Explain what you want to accomplish so they can have a better understanding of your needs.

I'm the co-founder of Cubistry Teck Solutions, and we’re located in Bangalore, India. We provide engineering services for the automotive and aerospace industries.

What challenge were you trying to address with Salted Social?

We had been in this industry for seven years, and we were mainly relying on existing client networks and word-of-mouth referrals. Then, we recognized we had a huge opportunity in the digital marketing space, so we were looking for a solution that could help us in effectively handling our social media platforms. Since we didn’t have a digital marketing strategy in place, we wanted to reach more people through the help of Salted Social.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Salted Social handles our digital marketing campaign on platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Their main goal is to promote our services, and they’re responsible for SEO and other work, too.

They don’t create our content because it’s very industry-specific. I give their team a lot of inputs regarding our work and domain including photographs of our work. They then refine it to fit into our social media platforms and website. I also give them inputs about the work they produce.

What is the team composition?

We're working with Manisha (CEO & Co-Founder) and Abhishek (Co-Founder), but Abhishek is the one who handles our account.

How did you come to work with Salted Social?

Abhishek was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. He offered us some solutions when it came to SEO.

How much have you invested in them?

We want to see some results first. It’s only been six months, so they haven’t sent us an invoice yet. However, the project estimate is 40,000 Indian Rupees (approximately $540 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, the team has been good. From 20–30 followers, we now have around 500 followers on Facebook, and it is growing. In terms of percentage, we already have a big number of followers, but we can still improve. I don’t like to comment on their work yet until I see our engagement’s end results.

How did Salted Social perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re professional, and so far, they have a good project management process. We mostly communicate through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve only worked with them so I can’t compare them to anyone else because I have no benchmark to rate them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any complaints about Salted Social’s work — they can improve like any company. They’re a small firm, but they have a bright future and they can definitely expand and have more customers in their base because they’re in a good space. After all, we all know that digital marketing is the next big thing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Share your business model and your target clients with Salted Social. On top of that, align your goals with their work, and tell them what you need while staying realistic with your budget.

I’m the CEO of Caardeal.com, a startup in the automotive space. We provide a platform for buying and selling cars.

What challenge were you trying to address with Salted Social?

We were looking for someone who could take care of all of our social media campaign needs and also take care of our SEO consultancy-related stuff. The prime reason was to position ourselves better on Google and social media platforms.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work primarily with them on the consultancy side for social media content. It includes creating posts, blogs, and managing our social platform. They also provide consultancy on how to position us better in the competitive market including Google, and improvise our SEO rankings — it’s a completely collaborative effort. Any post goes through me. We have a social media manager in our company, and all the content and copywriting remain with us. 

Salted Social provides us with the best approach and what to do. They create the content and once it’s agreed upon, we post it. In addition to that, they’re also responsible for the comments and responding to inquiries. We work closely with them on keyword research and they help us with a complete analysis of where our website stands. From time to time, they give us advice on the best methods and approaches on keywords, tags, web optimization, and Facebook campaigns.

What is the team composition?

I talk directly with Manisha (Co-Founder & CEO) on a day-to-day basis. She also hired some interns specifically for blogs, and I’m sure there’s quite a number of people working in different areas.

How did you come to work with Salted Social?

There was a time I was looking for help with SEO, and we got connected through a social media platform. We had quite a few discussions, but the most important thing I wanted was someone who understood us as a product. Manisha spent quite a lot of time understanding our product completely, and that was one of the reasons we chose them out of the different companies we looked at.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2021 and we’re still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re a product company that didn’t know the best approaches. They helped us with everything, and their work increased our rankings significantly on Google. We’re again at the next level of trying to position ourselves much better which is on page one— which will happen soon. They don’t only work for money, but they work to provide a complete service. It’s been good working with them and we will continue to do so.

They’ve given me peace of mind that I’ve hired the right company, and I feel confident in them. I can now focus on other things that are more important to me, as we’ve seen quite a good number of growth. They helped us with our social media outreach and their content skill is great.

How did Salted Social perform from a project management standpoint?

They work in a very methodical way. We use Trello and other project management tools to remain on the same page, and we review the work together. The best part is that everything is done on time, and I also review things at the right time so that I don’t hold them back — they give me enough time for revisions. The next article or content is updated based upon what my feedback is, and communication has been very candid and clear. 

They’ve been doing a great job and we synchronize our understanding properly. We communicate through email, phone, and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand our project really well. They’re not a company that you just use for one task, they’ve been proactive in finding out about our company — they really took the time to understand my project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything in particular at this point. They’re doing their best.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Talk to them candidly. If you want a quick solution, it might be a turnoff because they like to engage in what you want to achieve as a goal. Spend time with them and elaborate on your exact requirements and vision. Once you communicate your vision to them, they will do a great job for you.

We were looking for someone to manage our social media accounts, create content for us, and so on.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Monopoly X creates content for us — they write captions, choose hashtags, and set schedules for our social media posts. To tailor the content, they take into account our customer demographics and the intent of the app.

What is the team composition?

We work with only one teammate.

How did you come to work with Monopoly X?

I posted an intern vacancy on AngelList, and they sent me a proposal. We talked a bit about how they could contribute, and after a round of testing, I decided that they were a good fit.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in March 2021, and the collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They’ve delivered high-quality work that connects with our target demographic. 

How did Monopoly X perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily use Google Docs to collaborate on the content and Zoom calls to communicate. Monopoly X uses Canva for content creation. They usually send me links to their work, and I review each post before they upload it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our engagement just started, so it’s too soon for me to comment on that. However, Monopoly X’s content has been resonating well with younger generations. We appreciate their attention to detail. They’ve worked hard to figure out the best way to communicate with our audience, which was a significant factor in our decision to partner with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They haven’t disappointed me so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As a founder, my advice is to make Monopoly X excited about your vision so that you can connect. You can’t just assign work on a contract basis and expect them to perform well. It would be best if you make them believe in the product so they can market it well.
